Revisiting Age of Resistance - Episode 6 

I just watched the movie and I’m pretty sure a thousand thrine has passed since Skeksis formed their empire and corrupted the crystal. It is established that the crystal was fractured during the last planetary alignment a thousand years ago. It caused the division of the Urskeks into Skeksis and Mystics (and thus brought the age of division, the skeksis made sure the gelfling were divided and subservient). It is also stated that the land is dying. The age of resistance will probably be at most a few years/decades until the gelfling are wiped out. In the movie we can see that the land surrounding the castle is barren and dead, a huge contrast from AOR. This most likely happened because the Skeksis started draining the gelfling and consuming their essence at a rapid rate, and the gelfling have to go back to Thra to maintain proper balance. The draining of the gelfling was what brought on the rebellion we see in AOR and the rapid decay of Thra aka the acceleration of the darkening. It pretty much escalated from there, because in AOR the sanctuary tree tells Deet they have been containing the darkening but it is no longer possible. From Deet’s second vision is pretty clear to me that Brea was Kira’s mother, because it directly mirrors Kira’s memories in the movie and Kira looks pretty young. I can’t say exactly how many years have passed between the show and the start of the movie as I don't know exactly how long the gelfling live, but Kira and Jen seem to be about the same age. I haven't read any other material yet but this are my conclusions based from watching the movie and series alone.
