I felt SO BAD FOR HIM when this came out. What an absolute idiot to have gone and behaved in the exact way they falsely accused him of. I really wanted to root for him, it’s disappointing. But God, this era was such an amazing time to be chronically online 😂

Are you saying that since time goes by it’s okay for him to prey on young boys? I know tons of people like that irl though (I don't agree with it, but they are people and they exist). I had a friend group fall apart because the friend who was a downtown realtor was offended that the couple friend who bought a house in the suburbs in the next town over didn't use him as their realtor

What gets me is why did he carry on kissing him for an hour ? you can usually tell in 30 seconds if someone is a bad kisser. But an hour of bad kissing sounds like hell
James is so young in this, and he was clearly wronged by very influential people. I can’t help but wonder if this affected his trajectory, and how if people treated this situation with more grace, if he could’ve gone a different path.
Tati was pissed because he promoted a competitor, Jeffree felt threatened because James was like a younger version of himself. They only did this because they were jealous. James has done some awful stuff, sure, but they would’ve never put this out there if they hadn’t been jealous of him.

I think dramageddon 2 is very important and has nothing to do with James situation now--Tati brought war against 19 year old James and everyone was supporting her just because he is loud and annoying also tati was an angel which it was not true. It was scary how 36 year old person ruin someone death threat level without receipts just because she was beautiful and crying - also angel-. When dramageddon happen I was 23 year old and this whole situation was very icky to me
I totally agree, I remember at the time thinking how weird it was that she had positioned herself as James' mentor, manager, advisor, best friend, main industry connection, etc as someone who was so much older than him, only to then use that power to try and completely ruin this 19 year old's career over the fact that he made a snapchat ad for a competitor. Even when everyone was on Tati's side, I still thought the situation was incredibly weird and icky. I think a lot of people secretly felt that way and that's probably why James gained so much support with this video, I think a lot of people were waiting to be given a reason to support him. Regardless of the awful things that he went on to do in the future, in this particular situation, Tati was in the wrong.

One thing I think we all didn’t pick up on at the time was one of Tati’s main accusations against James, that he’s ‘manipulting straight men into thinking they’re gay’. Why did we all just accept that? As we know from the huge history of people trying to turn gay people straight, sexuality is not something that can be manipulated or changed. James preying on underage people is very different and very bad, but I think it’s ridiculous and almost offensive of Tati to try and see he was almost trying to spread and ‘inflict’ his gayness lol
I think what annoys me about all of this is that more people dropped James over manipulating straight guy’s sexuality than actually sexting children. Both are bad and you should respect whatever someone says their sexuality is no matter how disappointed you are in the answer but the fact that people found that bad enough to unsubscribe but not the sexting and talking inappropriately to minors AND even more straight men and threatening to use revenge porn on someone, it’s insane.

I just cant believe that this was over GUMMIES. Like literally. GUMMIES. Everything they aired out in their videos could have been talked about behind the scenes and they could have had a little intervention for James regarding this predatory behavior on straight men in private first. If he doesnt listen, then so be it. Also, the GUMMIES could have been addressed behind the scenes and im sure Tati and James could have moved past it and James would have helped Tati with other financial opportunities if he knew how upset she was. Like these people are supposed to be adults. And they claim to be “so close” like family. You dont air out your family’s drama to an audience. It’s wild to me. @@MNBLUCKY if you watched what Adam posted, James gave Tati’s products a shout out and promoted them before. He really didnt do anything wrong. And I am saying that as a person who doesnt even like James Charles. He made a decision to help him in a tough spot and that in no way diminishes his relationship with Tati or what he has done to positively effect her brand. She was just super butt hurt and dramatic.

Not gonna lie but this situation is what threw me out of the "beauty" community and right into commentary/drama channels... it gave me a lot of distrust for some of my old favorites and now I feel like I need to see the bigger picture before liking someone's content, at least Adam has always been very honest with his platform and using it to spread information
I had the same conversation with someone who sexually assaulted me before going over to his house, that Sam and James did before his hotel room. I said "I do not want to have sex tonight, by the way" and he said "that's totally fine!" though there were never any charges (which I knew would happen) the lead detective told me when it was all over that it did not seem like it was the first time he went through something like that with the police. I have empathy for the "I had no sexual experience" thing. but neither did a friend of mine in high school. and yet when he pushed boundaries with me the fact that he only had one girlfriend ever before did not really do much to help with the severe PTSD I was medicated and institutionalized for. at least not until much later. James really and truly did make a lot of really good points, especially about Tati. which I see now, and didn't back then. but James is a predator. also im 4 months older than James and from the same state, so miss me with any of this age and maturity bullshit

I only know about James after he came out as an Actual Freak, so I figured this video would be like tati's where it's like thinly veiled garbage. But this vid is honestly so cohesive and effective. He could've dropped this and had a thriving, successful career while leaving tati and Jeffree in the dust. Why, WHY did he throw ALL of this away? It's so pointless! James, you were at the TOP of beauty RU-vid, and now you're lip syncing your shitty song wearing an absolutely horrendous wig at Coachella. You had so much potential James, why??? I just don't understand it
I honestly wonder if this whole situation really fcked with his head and gave him a complex, or perpetuated the immaturity that was already there. Like I sense a self-fulfilling prophecy thing going on here.
I forgot how massive this situation was at the time! It was EVERYWHERE, you couldn’t escape it or open social media without coming across something related to it. I vividly remember sitting in class at my small town yee haw high school and overhearing the boys talking about this drama. The boys that barely ever went on social media and only really cared about farm stuff…even they knew all about this. It was insane.
This was an enjoyable watch. Rewatching this, it is very clear to me how Colleen took notes and tried to have the same tone in her “addressing everything” video. Her tone in that was very unlike her normal vlogs. It was very pointed, on the surface came out as confident, which is a trait she from her own perspective, doesn’t identify with. I’d love a side by side.

I think James was in the right when this video was made. 3 people who were in their mid 30s-early 40s targeted a 19 year old. He was way more mature than they were.
Say what you want about James, he ATE with his response and Jeffree, Shane and Tati tried to scare him into silence but James came THROUGH with the receipts and mugged them all off
I can't imagine being like, "I decided to keep making out with this person for a whole hour when I don't even like them." That just sounds awful for both of them.
@@mauve894 getting your vitamins, minerals & other micronutrients from food is almost always better. But if the supplement you're taking actually contains a significant amount of it, and you're deficient in it, then it will make a difference. Some are water soluble so you'll just pee out the excess, so if you're not deficient it may be just a waste of money. Some are not, which means if you take too much it can have negative side effects. Some may (?) be harmless in excess but I'd do research on the specific vitamin you're taking. I'm on a medication that makes it hard for my body to absorb vitamin B12 & folic acid from food, so my Dr specifically told me to take a supplement for it. They actually help hair and nail quality (in addition to more vital body functions lol). SO... vitamin gummies or supplements in general can be helpful. But it comes with a lot of caveats and entirely depends on your specific lifestyle. And idk about specific brands, just look into their integrity
adam i'm loving this revisit!!! i still remember when this & bye sister dropped and EVERYONE knew about it (even my school friends who barely even knew james charles/beauty community)... this video was such a good redemption and insane comeback at the time, but he just became less and less credible with every new allegation throughout the past years and it's just so unfortunate lol
Even though I lived for the mess at the time, hindsight is 20/20. Egotistical hyprocrites were the ones running the RU-vid beauty community in 2018-2020, and I hope that an atmosphere like this never happens again.
