It is now more than two years since I stopped coloring and started #embracinggrayhair. Still proud to be a #silversister and doing my best to #agegracefully.

You look very chic with your silver bc you have a great attitude and your hair is silver, not dull grey. Some people have just dull, flat grey. And you know how to use your makeup in a chic way.

Over the pandemic I watched some RU-vid vids on how to strip henna (real career colourists wouldn’t touch it as the results are not consistent and often bad). Anyhow, I did it to myself. It wasn’t great result but I was glad to not have to be doing the overnight mud every 4-5 weeks (I hated roots).

I had been called colouring my hair with henna since I was 18. So my hair was healthy and long and bouncy and I’ve always been a red head. It was such a part of me. As it started going grey, I kept doing my henna but the henna on grey was more orange so then I started mixing with indigo. The whole thing was a pain bc to get my rich colour I wrapped the mud mixture in Saran and slept. Washed it out next morning.
