Justin the Type69's APFSDS is 220mm. You're better by more than just a "little bit".

With their horrible turretrotation, the Type 69 and especially the 59 don't seem that fitting at 8.0, now with the T-55A being 8.0 aswell. I just wish they could take their HEAT and maybe APDS away and put them back at 7.7 with only APHE. The gunhandling feels just horrible with their rotation and elevation speed and the stabilizer just doesn't make it up for it, like other fully stabilized tanks.

great thing this is now 8.0! now i can play this without worrying about facing 9.0 too often and 9.3 at all. hopefully t-10M can go down in BR as well

I find that I'm fighting 9.0s in my t55a more often than not now. You know how it is, gaijin need the 9.0 premiums stomping so that people buy them.

Maybe take a look at the M60A1 AOS now that its been moved to 8.0? I personally found it to be pretty good alongside the huge selection of vehicles america has at that BR

@@gaijinatemyhusky4384 Compare it to the T55A and you’ll see that the T95E1 is worse in every way. It’s slower, no stabilizer, APFSDS that doesn’t pen that much (300mm vs 335mm) and no HEAT-FS. Even though the T95’s turret is stronger, that damn cupola just ruined everything.

i watched your tips at tricks video, and after using the audio tip with my headset, using the t55A im getting 8+ kills without dying almost every match, its like wall hacks being able to hear the enemy so easily, so happy 😄

ur rlly experienced with ground rb so i u should think about uploading videos where u have a discussion every now and then, like if there is a problem in the game give it some spotlight and maybe offer some solutions or just give ur feed back on big updates or major news from the game. it would help give ur content more diversity u know

I've actually never touched this one before. But now that it's at 8.0 I've been trying to spade it, and the stock APDS is actually not bad at all for short to medium ish range. And the APHE is great for side shooting, right after that you've got a pretty good APFDS. I absolutely hate anything related with HEAT rounds in this game though. The armor is pretty meh, but if you angle to the left, you show the best armor possible: the fuel tanks. Those things eat a lot of shells. Funny thing, the Xray shows the ammo storage inside the fuel tanks.

This thing just didn't need to go down to 8.0, it was fine at 8.3. I love it tho, when it got moved down I played just one game to try it out and sure enough a double ace straight away

It got downtiered because people whined the prem. AM-1 is "OP" at 8.3 (which it isn't), so Gaijin instead of upping AM-1 to 8.7 to appease the idiots and completely ruin the tank in the process because anything at 8.7+ suffers from constant uptiers into 9.7 because TURMS, they moved A down to 8.0 so it wouldn't have the same BR as the upgraded one.

@@goofy851 At 8.3 it is OP, especially in a downtier. It should be in the same BR as T-62M1 since it's better than the T-55A in nearly every way. The front armour is immune to APDS and HEAT-FS and it has better shells. It also gets Laser Rangefinder.

Exactly. The M60A1 Aos made sense bc it only had apds and heat-fs. The M48A2GA2 made sense because it had no stabilizer and was inferior to the Brenus and regular Amx-30B-2. How tf the T-55A went down to 8.0 makes no sense to me.

Every tank I run into, pens the turret to the face. No questions asked. And ofc the hull but I mostly get caught hull down, only turret visible. And still, ammo is weak, even side shots and rear shots. Only for them to turn around and pen me to the turret face

I am actually the Sheridan player you killed twice at 19:40 and at 20:24, as well as the M60 at 21:19. So, as for the Sheridan kills, fair play, it's a tin can, anything can kill, it whatevs. The M60 kill, however, as for how I missed, is pretty easy to explain. I don't get a stabilizer, and the round for whatever reason went into empty space in your turret. I was streaming at the time, and I was pretty salty and toxic. You killing me 3 times in a row in that vehicle was basically the final nail in the coffin for me playing WT, something I played for about 8 years on and off.

8.3 gets uptiered a lot now since the turms came out, so I prefer playing 8.7 or 8.0

@@sugoisukhoi no in my experience 8.7 gets more downtiers than 8.3, 8.3 used to get downtiers every game, the surge in turms frees up a lot of l44s and xms in the matchmaker to sealclub m48s and t55s

Unpopular opinion but I don't think the premium T 55 is op, i decided to do a test. I took it to 8.7 with my object 279 to see how well I could do. Every time I went to 9.7 and got stomped. While at 8.3 it avoids tanks that outcase it totally. The biggest issue I find is in a downtier specifically 7.7 lots of tanks use heat or aphe and aren't stabilized this tank counters them both,(Kinda like most heavy tanks) but at 8.3 there are plenty of dart slingers, Gun ships, and other fast tanks that cut this thing down. Don't get me wrong it's very strong but I don't think it's op

Unfortunately, USSR 8.0 is barely existant, so unless you really want to bring 4 MBTs in an 8.3 lineup with the T-55A being the 4th backup, theres no real reason to use it. I use it on my 8.3 10-vehicle lineup.

they are pretty much 8.0 material. they will overperform at 7.7 because of the stabilizer. do you want tiger 2, IS-3, T34 heavy etc to face stabilized HEATFS slingers that they can't even penetrate frontally?

T-55 go to 8.0 is not much of a change, really. Russian line up at this tier is 8.3 anyway. T-55 and T-62 and others complement vehicles (IT-1, BMP, Shturm,....)
