I was there. Was a long day with such an eclectic lineup. The classic artists, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddly, Jerry Lee Lewis were full value. Funny, no mention of Chicago Transit Authority who were awesome. Must be a rights thing. How about Cat Mother and the All Night News Boys. Anyway, can't remember The Doors or Lennon's ensemble, too tired by the evening. Great memories.

Thank you for mentioning Chicago. The audio of their set is on RU-vid and it just sounds phenomenal. And objectively speaking, they did get an encore.

Was that the concert where someone threw a live chicken during the Alice Cooper set? Alice said that he was from Detroit and never been on a farm in his life and thought chickens can fly so he toss the chicken thinking the chicken would fly away. Instead the hicken plummeted into the audience where it got ripped apart and Alice got allthe blame.

It was the worst concert I ever went to… and the worst of the worst was the plastic Ono band with John Lennon and Yoko Ono… and that was the main reason I went. There was to see them and hear them, and I was grossly disappointed….!

I've seen the film. You're absolutely right! Nothing musically worthwhile to see--or hear--here. Nonetheless, the story of how the promoters got John Lennon to perform is just unbelievable--the morning of the concert, Eric Clapton was still in bed in London and had no idea whatsoever that he'd be performing on stage in Toronto with John Lennon in just a few hours!

Lol well u just said it, u weren't there to see the giants of rock and roll, chuck berry, little Richard, bo diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis...u expected a Beatles reunion 🫂 😉

Such a step back for rock music, perfect that it happened in the cultural backwater of Toronto.

I was there, I grew up in Toronto and remember neil young and joni Mitchell playing in coffeehouses at the time..."cultural backwater"...you're so ignorant 😆

@@martinprus570 That's why I said THIS was a step back ... from the likes of Mitchell. Get a brain, morannn. Toronto is certainly a backwater today. Drake. Enough said.
