I recommend doing /c "Raise" first, so you can res the targeted player first, if it is dead.

Honestly, this is great. Useful when 1 person dies. If you are in a dungeon with 3 or 4 dead, you would want to make decisions and raise depending on the fight and circumstance. Good video as always Plushie and thank you for taking care of us.

@@mimosdamicrosoft3272 use /p or /a for party or alliance chat and for the person you're raising and then type what you want to say, for example: /ac "Raise" (or replace t with a number) /p The floor is not for sleeping. besides, we have a fight to finish.

I have the same macro but my priority is different: 2, 4, 8, 7, 3, 5, 6 2 - first because I always want a tank alive first for aggro. This is because I can’t raise multiple people and heal them while being autoattacked. Since 2 is a tank in both a light and full party, I raise them first. 4 - second because it is either the healer in a full party or it is the primary a lot for a caster with a raise in a light party. This is to ensure after aggro is taken care of, I’m raising other raises. 8 and 7 - next for the same reason; because they’re likely places for a SMN/RDM who can help with raising. 3 - next because it’s an offtank in a full party and the remaining DPS in a light party. 5 and 6 - last as they’re typically melee or ranged physical classes that cannot help heal, raise or maintain aggro.

Is this faster tho? What's the delay time? Do u get error messages if they are alive and it goes to next? Do u have to keep spam pressing it? Lol I need to try this

It should be fast if you remove the /ac "swiftcast" /wait 1 part as mentionned on the video! It would end up being seamless as it just tries to apply the revive to whoever is dead in your party, instantly :) (Hence is why I advise to use swiftcast out of the macro just in case latence ruins the macro) You do get an error message in chat for each that are alive! Only pressing it once should work :>

Be careful with spam clicking any macros. Each line of a macro takes just under half a second, each time you press the macro is starts from the top line so if trying to rez someone that's your bottom line then you risk delaying rez. Also if you press another macro as a macro is doing it's thing that'll cut macro off unless you've used the command to make macro complete (believe it was macro lock but I never recommend using that).

This is def a great macro, I've seen variations of it floating around! Tho in some cases people might prefer to raise a tank first instead of a healer, especially if both tanks are down... But that's just macro responsibility!

In the video I show how to make so Healers > Tanks > DPS are in priority in this order ^_^ But you can twist it by making the tanks the priority first!

The one I use has a similar set up, but it has a /ac "Raise" first in case I need to quickly revive a healer in a different alliance! Just now I'm looking at the best way to have one single raise macro for every healer (red mage and summoner included) to save on macro space

Small tweak I just thought of but haven't tested: If you do change your party list order to be Healers>Tanks>DPS, then you can just macro through which will allow this to work for Dungeons AND Raids regardless of what class you are playing. Anyone PLEASE feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that.

I've been using a similar macro and if you put "raise of your choice" or "raise of your choice" as the first line then you can use it for targeted raises in case of more than one dead. The greatest drawback of targetless raise macros is that they have a tendency to misfire when there are more than one dead and the highest priority people are out of range, so the macro will raise someone seemingly random or it will try to raise the same person twice. It doesn't really happen outside of emergencies where the raid is probably lost anyway, but I have been accused of griefing because the macro raised a less than ideal target, so that's something to keep in mind I suppose.

Seems a little tricky due to the order when you need to revive a tank to hold up for you, but in most cases it's the order I'll follow anyways :3 nice video!

Sadly it is not possible to do that! The way a revive macro says "reviving x" is by targetting the person you revive and have the message say "I'm reviving " will be your target, so the person you have selected With this macro you're not targetting anyone ^^

I just tried it and it's truly amazing! Also, is it possible to include there some "ressing " to say I'm picking up the macro target and not my actual target? In my case, I used just like that, but ended getting the boss name.

I would also recommend a mouse over macro at the top of the list, /ac "Raise" for those times you need to be more selective about your raise priority as Ive had a good number of times where the raise would target someone other than the person i wanted to raise, say like if a tank and a dps died close to or at the same time and i wanted to rez the tank first but it rez's the dps instead. Just something for QoL. 👍

Dunno if anyone said this but you can also set first line to /ac "raise" so if you realize both tanks dead and one has been consistently better you can target them as first rez. And macro will still work regardless because you cannot "raise" enemies and this way you can raise people in other alliances without needing a button for party rez and normal rez. (Edit: Obviously first line /merror off though if don't have macro errors set off normally.)

@@ZelosSama it's just adding in a safety measure if both tanks dead and you know one is better to rez than the other. Or if healer dead but the party had a red mage that has been rezzing. Adding /ac "raise" just adds a way to manually prioritize if need/want to. (Edit: also prevents locking the rez so only effects the party in alliance raids where sometimes you may need to rez a different alliances healers)

Serious raider here; and part time healer A yes thats actually what the swiftcast is reserved for; is that "oh shit" combat rez.... You also want a quick note in party chat Stating that you are swift rezzing so that incase multiple die at once (and its not the other healer) they arent blowing their swift rez on the same target; they see yours and go "ok hes got them; i'll tag Y" and for the most part thats a good idea, unless you have a rdm, and multiple die...in which case tag the rdm...they can get 3-4 up in the time it takes to raise more

Serious Raider here: No, the Swiftcast is NOT reserved for "oh shit" combat rez moments outside of savage prog, since people should not be dying anyway. Neither is the quick note in chat any useful, because by the time the other healer notices it, they've most likely already blew their Swift-Rez, because for good healers or those that played it long enough it becomes muscle memory. Any kinds of rez macros are abhorrent and bog you down more than they help you.

I’m new to macros. So how exactly does this work? You press the key once and it will go through and raise whoever needs to be raised in that order and skip the ones that don’t? Or do you have to keep hitting the button as each person gets raised?

Hi! A macro is like a button you can add to your bar. See it like any other spells you use for fighting, except you craft it from scratch to make it do a function you ask it to do! In that case, the macro will try to revive anybody in your party until someone is dead meets the requirement for revivability

The limit of lines for a macro is 15; if we made 8 lines for each classes that can revive, that would be 48 (WHM SCH AST SGE RDM SMN)

you can also make a macro to combine any revive spell in it but you have to target the person you want to revive. best with auto-translated message imo :3 here's the one i made: (yes 0.5 seconds wait is actually enough for this) /micon "jump" general action /merror off /p Resurrection /ac "swiftcast" /ac "raise" /ac "resurrection" /ac "ascend" /ac "egeiro" /ac "verraise"

To be fair, every time I made a video with 0.5 people told me its a decimal, and sometimes when I say its "1" people say "you can do wait.0.5" but its been tested and proved that it is only decimals xD I suffered through several comments like this :x

if you have xivlauncher there is a plugin that allows macros to be set to decimals but at that point u might as well just get MOAction plugin as well to completely alleviate all latency with macros entirely turning them into basically normal abilities

Yep that is why I mentionned it with Verraise! If you prefer you can use it with a normal spell first as they are low cd to trigger the passive

Dont put wait 1 instead u can put /ac "Swiftcast" next to it in one line because if u put wait 1 like this the chat will pop up saying wait 1 like that.

For Casual Content that Macro is enough. But when you get to more serious Content the Macro is way to slow specially when you wanna rezz the 7. or 8. Person in the Party. I would recommend using a Mousover Macro instead of a Checking one.

you do not need to add a "/wait 1" line you can do "/ac "swiftcast" " also maybe add /micon "Raise" and "/merror off" on the end of the end of the macro to get the Raise Icon and disble macro error notifications (needs to be on the first line)
