If you haven't done the Moogle deliveries side-questline, you'll never be able to truly comprehend the motherly warmth that Sisipu radiates.

IIRC, there are two ARR side quests that reward thavnairian onions, which are used to level your chocobo, or (perhaps more importantly) sold for a lot of gil on the market

I get that most prefer these were blue, but I always liked the feeling of stumbling on a side quest while trying to get some XP that went a bit extra and gave me a pleasant surprise. Feels like how side quests in other games worked where some lead you on a wild chase and surprise you with something crazy instead of marking "HEY THIS IS THE ONE WHERE YOU GET SOMETHING SKIP EVERYTHING ELSE"

I remember doing the postmoogle quest at some time in the past long ago. The part where you get the "new class" went right over my head since I hadn't unlocked any new classes. I realized like years later what the joke was supposed to be

The thing is, if you _want_ to do all the sidequests, just do them. They fill out the world so much more and they'll make you feel really connected to the characters and people of the place you're visiting, and the main questline reflects this surprisingly often.

I compulsively clear all quest icons I see. I can't help it. I DID however... sell all my materia before I knew better lol Doing my craft quests, I am now at the mercy of the market board lol Post Moogle is on my list, and I'm clearing all the extreme trials I come by. Definitely want the mounts now though. Also never knew the card game was in! Definitely have to track that down! Loved the nostalgia trip of just hearing that music though :')

As a completionist, I did them all. Really expected some achievement, like Loremaster in WOW. Fact that I didn't still give me that horrible feeling of having missed one somewhere, somehow. (to forestall the inevitable: yes, I did THAT one, the one hidden inside the mansion of youknowwho for youknowwhat)

I did a bunch of these on a character I played like 2 years ago and forgot about, then I never did them on my actual freaking main, so thanks for reminding me where they are!

Thanks for the followup about the Postmaster questline. I was rather nonplussed when I returned to Limsa and founf the Moogle gone or at least not visible to me. I thought it was a glitch. Nice to know there's more to it, though it would have been nice if SE had given a clue about it. I will add that the followup quest involves weakening a level 29 spark, so if your job is higher than that you will one shot it and won't be able to complete the quest. Hopefully you will have a job that is at or below level 29.

I literally did every side quest up until shadowbringers and I was like ugh I’ve had enough lol just MSQ time. I had to clear every map but I gave up.

I actually enjoy doing every single side quest. But I see why most don’t. Yeah there are some hidden stuff it’s fun.

Nice resource to have all the side quests in one spot. And here I was thinking side quests where only worth doing to help level Blue Mage.

Looks like I’ll be back to doing yellow quests. Time to level up my lancer that way 😂😂

I started doing side quests when I had the idea to hoard all my Gil pieces until I got to heavensward… and WOW they actually provide so much Gil, in coerthas central highlands there’s nearly 70k Gil you get NOT including the pieces you receive, it’s a good money maker for the start of a character! It took me about a week to get through it all

I'm definitely going to get the cactuar minion and the ring.

I would add the following three quests, depending on your starting city Population Control (Gridania) The Rats in the Wharf (Limsa Lominsa) In the Name of Science (Ul'dah) This will reward you your very first head piece that will help you pass one of the early MSQ's that tells you to equip level 5 pieces to a couple of slots without having to go out of your way and buy it (and when you do your level 5 class quest, pick a different slot as your reward). Another one is "When a Man Loves a Woman", because its quest marker is very close to where the special Behemoth FATE spawns, so it makes checking the map for this FATE when you do something else in the zone a bit easier.

I have NO regrets doing every side quest there is to find. It's because of going through them all I'd get my friends asking me "where did you get that?".

I have nothing to do so I'm just grinding up my pugilist/monk and taking on all the side quests in the game until there's none left.

This sounds like a fun break in the off-class levelling grind. I think I'll take my monk around and clear the map!

I did ALL quest... And yes a ton of them should be blue, especially this f-ing glasses one...

huh...am I the only mf that has a mental problem as unable to stand those yellow icons on the mini map? I DO SIDE QUESTS WITH MSQ DURING MY 1ST PLAYTROUGH, they give more immersion and lots of them complement MSQ.

I never skipped side quests. Every bit of exp helped me level my multiple jobs. Also, I can't stand seeing the sea of markers mocking me every time I go back to an area.

LA-NO-SHA

I was told somewhat recently that it's pronounced "la noh-shah", which makes sense, I had been saying "la nossy". Your "la no see-a" is the same thing

Honestly, I do every quest I see just cuz I hate seeing a cluttered map.

I did every single one in the entire game. Every expansion. And I read all of the text. Get on my level

Shame that this list doesn't include quest that has nice story to it like saving the Silver Bazar.

I actually think all side quest are worth doing... Only not on the first level up..

If you do the sidequests that involve the other Moogles in Heavansward, theres a quest you can unlock by doing a few of the ones in the cave containing them. Following the entire chain of quests leads to you helping this Moogle fulfill his dreams of joining the Moogle guard. While you don't actually get a reward, your character does find it very amusing.

I honestly don't get people not doing Yellow Quests. Are they allergic to keeping their gears updated ? To leveling up fast ? To making gils ? Hell, the way they're positioned on the map so that you can just chain them up smoothly as you progress through the MSQ is honestly impressive, and if you're going to be going up and down those places for the MSQ, why would you NOT make some extra on the side ? It baffles me.
