thank you for finally using reps as donors. it is not only a lot more cheaper for the person restoring the shoe, there are many vendors of the reps allowing you to pick from the closest match to the real pair.
to clarify, different producers of reps focus on perfecting only some aspects of of a shoe so one vendor might've perfected the color and material accuracy of the uppers of a shoe while another might've only perfected the color and stiffness of the sole of a shoe.
I told my friend that if your shoe has very specific midsole/outsole like the SB Dunks mummies, then buy some reps and do a sole swap on them. Saves you a lot of money.
Why would You do that with Mummy Dunks 😂 They have a rubber midsole bruh. Air Force 1's, Air Jordan 1's & Nike Dunks don't crumble. Only FOAM midsoles crumble, not rubber.
@rawsanity27 1. The sb dunks have extremely specific midsole/outsole colors 2. They glow in the dark 3. Once they have 0 stars left and are completely cooked, you're going to have to swap them if you want to keep wearing them. So I conclusion. If a shoe is cooked, then it doesn't matter if it's made out of foam or not. You're still have to give them a sole swap
@@EBraz mine will never have zero stars since I have tons of shoes & rarely wear them & them being glow in the dark doesn't make them crumble. Mummy Dunks will hold up for a long time.
Hey Vic. Can you do a video on just your tools, equipment and supplies you need to be someone that does shoe repairs? Glues, brands, paints, sprays, etc. Kind of an "all you need" inventory set you need to do every job. I see you have a lint remover and tiny iron. What are those and where can I get them. Things like that. I'd love to see that video. I iron alot of toe boxes. My friends are always amazed. Be cool to see you do a tutorial on ironing toes. Love your videos man
Is the replica "shoe sole" same material with the original one? I think it's ok, as long as the material quality of replica same with the original. The most important, to preserve the shoe.
How do you guys recommend storing polyurethane based shoes properly? Would like to see my collection last for a long time and not crumble on me 😢 currently I have them in the OG boxes with OG shoe paper in my dark dry closet is that okay? I do wear them as well
To me when it comes to reps fuck it. At this point im sick & tired of having the $ but getting cheated out by bots or nike not making lots of pairs that are desirable pairs but release countless shoes that go straight to outlets. I rather have a collection of UAs of shit i never had the chance to get, gunna run them into the ground & not worry about value.
Awesome work by you guys, one thing those replicas where produced with a glue which is very toxic when you sand them, so whoever is renewing them should use a mask
I don't get it. The midsole is at least 50% of the shoe. Yall will be ok with using a rep midsole but won't wear a rep shoe. I'm just trying to understand
@alexanderpierce7985 I get that. I truly do. But how can someone hate to wear reps even though this sole swap will make the shoe a 50% replica. I'm just being a little logical is all
Naw naw if i couldnt find the real i wouldn't have done it my OP! 90/10 shoe 😂 🤣 and i cant wear it??? Cause now its part fake! How many times have we seen this shoe on YT 🤦♂️ your still the Goat tho 💪🏼
