I had a strange stuck scenario with a Immutable system" that I installed. /var/lib/pacman/db.lck System updates were not possible because of this. The standard solution is to remove that file - to be able to update the system again. However, when I tried that as #, I got back the message "Access denied. This is a system file" I just chose a mutable system instead.

In immutable is you cannot change or delete core system files... That is what makes them immutable

I never could get the asus-nvidia image to install with secure boot enabled 😢 I’m looking more towards creating a custom iso using their baseline template.

@@thelinuxtubeit works great. But if you distro-hop, stay away. The choice of base image is a drug and you’d get hooked. For me personally the Silverblue-nvidia image works better than any Asus (I have a Asus laptop) specific image or Bazzite/Bluefin (too opinionated). Add some packages I need (like Ulauncher) and replace wpa_supplicant with iwd (all in the build file) and I am golden. Need some getting used to downloading container layers than individual package updates, but overall I love it. The secure boot issue disappeared in the latest image.
