1 year later I managed to get a 100P MK3 . This amp is a monster and can do everything from clean to High gain. The feel is awesome even with the two notes direct to the Audio Interface.
Wow! Absolutely stunning amp; I can't think of anything else to add to it other than having me play like Shawn when I use it. Might be the best amp video I've ever seen. I'm sold!
I was hoping this vid would have a Shawn Tubbs intro song, and was not disappointed! There's so much here, different guitars (that 12-string!) and tones, sparkly, crunchy, smoothly sustaining, and cool, chewy chords! And of course your amazing soloing - melodic, outside, blazing! Just brilliant, I will listen to this piece a bunch of times.
@@PooNinja haha! Yeah .. I really liked the idea of the same color with gold faceplate, yet without the snake skin thing. Unfortunately that tolex is only available in that "electric blue" or in red and with snake skin pattern. I now might opt for something similar like shawns but in dark brown and with silver faceplate. What would you think of that?

@@PooNinja nice! I would do that as well, but what I REALLY liked would be a proper lacquered tweed coating. Unfortunately their supplier only carries fake tweed. Even if I sent them real tweed the process of putting it on would probably not possible for them. I might ask them though ^^ Oh.. and the name on the website of their tolex supplier is country western 😂
Only thing that could make it better would be double fx loop so you can use stereo pedals with only one amp, that would be cool since it had L/R outputs
I use the Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 then take the DI out to my stereo fx: Then send the signals into a stereo pair of Two Notes Cab M plus devices. I use a Noise gate (NS-2) at the front and loop of my Mesa Nomad 100 with an Empress Para EQ. I can run wet/dry/wet. I can switch to my ADA MP-1. Thinking of looking for a switcher to swap inputs and outputs between the head and preamp. I have to use a power supply on my amp to power the NS-2 Para EQ, and Two Notes To Captor 8, unless I use phantom power on the XLR output. The REVV has all that stuff built in.
Awesome features in that amp but if I just listen to the tones I am still happy with my Friedman BE 100 Deluxe (which you reviewed with that same Suhr). Nice review and intro as always.
I've been looking at another high gai amp head if not a modeler or Kemper profiler. I have as my more vintage high gain amp, my Bogner 20th Shiva, and I set it up to do clean, vintage gain, high gain and boosted gain with the included footswitch. With the Revv, can you set it up so that each channel l is a gainer version of the one before? I would want to set it up as clean - crunch - high gain - higher gain and then I'd use the loop for EQ and effects. I ask because I had a Mark V and I couldn't get it to work this way. Each channel was too different from one another. I love what I hear of the Revv and while it would be cool to set it up as four different or unique sounding channels but I need to set it up as four channels that blend well together more like gain stages or layers of gain. But I guess with thr midi switching and ability to adjust gain at the footseitch, I could do all of this and more. The band I'm in plays bands from Rush and The Police to STP to Alice in Chains to Iron Maiden. A pretty wide mix.
Really great playing on this one Shawn. I preferred the built in IR tones better. I think it must be the V30 I hear that just turns me off on some of your demos..
Hi Shawn! Great video as usual. Talking about the 1st channel. Does it tend to break up using humbucker pickups?You have played it in the video only using single coils but it could have been useful to hear it with more hot pu. Anyway thank you 👍
The first channel of the 120 MK II has quite a bit of headroom. It would be more apt to break up sooner with a high output humbucker than single coils but it's very clean.
Sounds great but I couldn't deal with that many knobs on my amp. Mine has 5 and some days I just wish they were permanently set and all I could adjust was the volume.
You’re a great artist. Thank you for your video demos. I have a question: I play a lot of styles from jazz to country to classic and modern rock. I would like to consolidate down to a single tube amp. Do you think the Revv is the best option?
Thanks so much for the kind words. The Generator 120 would be a good choice as it's incredibly versatile. The embedded TwoNotes reactive load makes it even more usable.

Hi Lukas, the 120 MK3 is really quite a bit different than the Dynamis. The Dynamis is a 40-watt, 6V6 powered two-channel amp. In general, the Dynamis has a slightly more compressed overall feel and has less gain than the 120MK3. The clean channel on the Dynamis is beautiful but will break up sooner but was also designed to take pedals extremely well. The drive channel on the Dynamis is less aggressive and has less gain than the 120 MK3. The 120 MK3 has loads of headroom because it is a 120-watt 6L6 powered amp. The clean channel is extremely clean in nature and though it does take pedals well, the Dynamis is better suited as a pedal platform amp. As far as low volume playing goes, the Dynamis is a lower wattage amp so in theory, it would be better, but keep in mind that the 120MK3 can be switched down to 10 watts and also has the advantage of having the Two Notes embedded tech onboard. If you prefer to use pedals and have a great 40- watt platform amp, go with the Dynamis but if you prefer to have a channel switching amp, look and the Generator MK3.
I know It's a crazy question, and maybe I missed the feature, BUT are there attenuation/low watt modes like the G20 has? Excellent, demo, playing & info!!!!
@@ShawnTubbs do you like the WGS Veteran 1x12 REVV cab with it? unfortunately I would have to buy a cab because both my cabs are 16ohm and it looks like you can only do 4 or 8 on the g20
