@J Wil It's not everyone's cup of tea J, but I started taking a Lemon Ginger Blast (not the tastiest thing in the world) for breakfast about 3 months now and I was completely gray hair and my locks and the back of my head is the original colour again, I'm not shitting you I'm being honest. I didn't notice immediately but people started pointing it out and some of my work colleagues even joked about hair colour products. I was due for an ear operation and as part of the pre-op set of tests they checked a number of things including blood pressure (high blood pressure runs in my family) and it had almost returned to normal and the mucus that was trapped inside my ear (eustachian tubes) was almost completely gone. They said they would go ahead with operation if it was my wish but added it was unnecessary given the new results. I don't have shares in vegan products and I don't really care that much who is impressed by me so there is no advantage for my to lie. Try it yourself if you are suspicious. The great Bruce Lee as asked how he was a genius given he was ahead of his time in his chosen field of knowledge, he said "I'm not a genius, I just try everything and keep what works and discard what is useless". So give it a try and be patient to let the results manifest. peace bud.

@BeLikeWaterBeLikeWater 4 года назад
I recently researched and found out that after the age of 40 people drop off about 50% in Nitric Oxide production which is responsible for softening the blood vessels making blood flow easier which in turn creates better circulation. To increase NO taking Beet Root powder and Citrulline will bring them back up to optimal levels that you can check at home with Test Strips bought on Amazon. Also discovered that many people are deficient in vitamin K2 not to be confused with just vitamin K. Vitamin K2 is responsible for proper absorption of calcium into our bones, being deficient causes leaching from the bones making the bones weak but the calcium then collects in our arteries (which harden) and kidneys restricting blood flow. Restrict blood flow and a host of problems are created. The good news is it can be reversed naturally. Studies have shown over a 4 week period after taking vitamin K2 the amount of calcification buildup was reduced considerably. So at the end of the day if blood flow isn’t restored over time and because some areas of our body take first priority when blood is rationed the others next in line either get less or none which causes small vessels to die thus causing nerve damage (neuropathy).

D LG if you dig into it, NMN does some things better, same with NR and ditto on Niacin. Kinda like vitamin K1 can kinda do a bit of K2’s jobs and K2 can kinda do a bit of K1’s jobs, but the body will only limp along if you only have the one form. That is, NMN, NR and Niacin are poor, but not completely useless substitutes for each other.

aztekkthundergod in which aspect? Mobilizing free fatty acids? Lowering cholesterol into normal ranges? (Niacin’s the gold standard at that almost twice as good as Statins) Promoting proper HDL and LDL levels? Short-term lipolysis/fat-burning? Upping NAD levels? Taking someone pretty much instantly out of an LSD induced state? Curing schizophrenia? Niacin’s a beast. I’m guessing you’re referring to the NAD levels. For me, mega dosing Niacin gave a very negligible boost in energy, suggesting a very low to at best moderate affect on NAD levels.
@dlg5485
@dlg5485 4 года назад
@aztekkthundergod I don't know where you got that information, but niacin most certainly has not been "debunked." As a treatment for existing cardiovascular and other issues, yes, 1500 mg per day or more might be needed, but as a preventive measure to ward against these chronic ailments, even 500 mg per day can be effective. I take 500 mg 2x daily and it has absolutely been effective, helping to keep my cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, etc all in check.

@aztekkthundergod I'm not interested in just the studies. It's just as important to know who funded the studies and what interests they have. Pharma companies pay researchers to publish bullshit 'studies' constantly in an attempt to discredit the natural treatments that compete with their drugs, so make sure you're looking for that. In any case, I've done my own research into niacin, numerous times over the years, and I'm more than satisfied with my findings...and, of course, my own experience with it.

Update on my previous comment: It's not the isosrbide mononitrate causing the effects mentioned below, it's Atorvastatin. I noticed my best results from NMN was when taking around 100mg per day from a good supplier, but these effects decreased at hgher doses. Due to running out of Atorvastatin, I was off them for a week to find 1g doses of NMN kicked in again, but decreased effects once I started the statin again. Also, taking statins and NMN at 1g causes statin side effects. I need statins to decrease cholestorol, have had a stroke and have heart disease, but it seems that I need less NMN when taking Atorvastatin. I've just received my batch of nmn, taken 200 mg for two days now but I'm very sceptical because it taste strongly of lemon with a slight taste of amphetamine.. I mean, if they are adding amphetamine to this, no wonder people feel energized when they take large doses ..
@catman4471
@catman4471 2 года назад
@@orion9k NMN does taste slightly lemony. If you've purchased from a reliable supplier you've got nothing to worry about. Also, you should experiment with doseage as guidelines vary from around 250mg to 1g per day. Your current age and health contribute to the amounts you might need. If you're over 50 you're nad levels are possibly 50% lower than when you were younger, but again that also depends on your current state of health, diet and exercise routine.

@@catman4471 Thanks for your reply. So I got my NMN along with B3 Niacin (Nicotinic Acid, the one with flush which I actually find pretty awesome) and also B6. The B6 made me feel completely weird so I stopped that after taking 25 mg morning and 25 again afternoon, I felt really on the verge/borderline of psychosis... The B3 nicotinic acid really gives a positive effect, I feel warm and slightly more energetic when I take it. The NMN still hasn't done much for me, I took 300 mg today, but I will keep increasing dose. I just bought Creatine today as well, heard a lot positive stuff about that too. I'm 37, I weight lift 2 hours 3 times per week, I try not to overeat with carbs and proteins even thou many promotes this when weight lifting, I think I'm around 1800 calories per day and around 80-90 grams of proteins, I'm 182 tall and 70 kilo. I also eat a lot of oils like MCT, Olive and Fish oil, I'm getting like +1 gram of DHA and also taking magnesium, zinc, MSM, Spirulina tablets, 5000 units of d vitamins with k2 added and between 6000 and 8000 mg vitamin C per day (2000 mg in the morning and per meals/smoothies) which actually has helped to make my sun allergy and long recovery time from weight lifting go away, but I have no idea what levels my NAD is, I just know that I'm trying to get my energy levels up, I'm tired all the time and my brain is foggy a lot through out the day, I've become very stress sensitive since 2019, so I'm trying everything I can to get my shit together.
@catman4471
@catman4471 2 года назад
@@orion9k Hi, NAD levels start decreasing around age 35 so you won't really notice much of a difference especially as you're getting ample exercise. You might like to look into taking Berberine though, around 900mg in 2 or 3 doses spread throughout the day, but not on days that you exercise. It helps with energy and muscle definition amongst other things such as stress and brain fog.. I like flush Niacin and often take between 500mg to 1 gram depending on if I've run out of NMN or not, and I take it in the evenings as it helps me sleep once the flush has gone. If you have health issues then you might like to think about gradually increasing the NMN until you find a level that suits you, but if otherwise healthy you should stick to a lower dose just as a top up for now seeing as you have already purchased some, but you could save the expense for another few years. Vitamin D Complex is excellent too, so you should be doing alright with your stack.

Not sure what everyone is using in terms of a brand, and I thought I share my experiences with NMN supplements. I have been using NMN for about 11 months, I am a 68-year-old male and I have tried over 20 different brands. The only one that seems to work for me personally is Probase Nutrition NMN Powder, simply because they are a well-known California brand, and I had their NMN independently tested for purity and impurities. Theirs came in at 99.89% purity and had zero lead in it. It seems some people on here have used Probase (the brand) NMN as well and they seem to be happy as well. Hope this helps!

@Caleb Veloz The way NAC (N-Acetylcysteine) and Glycine works are as precursors to Gluthathion, which is the cells most aboundant antioxidant. The level of Glutathion is reduced with age. So it's probably good to try to keep it up. To supplement with these two precursors is more efficient than supplementing with Glutathion itself! It wouldn't suprise me if Glutathion would keep some of the NAD+ consumers in check. Anyway, it can't hurt!

Nicotinamide Mono Nucleotide (NMN) in DNA & RNA. The weird thing is they say you have to take NR or NMN etc to get NAD, you don’t. You can take full flush Nicotinic Acid (Niacin) & it converts minimum 30% into NAD. The more significant thing is to learning take Full Flush Immediate Release Nicotinic Acid. You start with 100mg & titrate to 1000mg or 1500mg to get decent NAD. I did this rather inconvenient experiment & now reached 1500 mg after great struggle that I do not regret one bit. Nicotinic Acid is life savior for me & my lipid panel has improved significantly.

My doctor had no solutions or treatment for me other than suggesting I “pop in once in a while and have my blood pressure checked.” If I was not warned about the severe flush I would have ended up up in the ER. Scariest and the most unpleasant experience. Needless to say after a while I stopped taking it because of the flush. I will try your approach. Thank you.

Yvette - There are numerous strategies to taking Nicotinic Acid. You need 32 Oz of water, apple sauce, quercetin 500 mg pill & fish oil. After dinner go for walk then an hour before bed pop quercetin after 20 minutes follow by Nicotinic Acid pills, fish oil with Apple Sauce, squeeze packets are convenient. Drink first 16oz water when you experience initial tingling of flush then you drinking the other 16oz get the Nicotinic Acid moving. It takes 1.5 hours to fully move it after you swallowed. Also eating salad with dinner helps salads have quercetin which suppress prostaglandin d2 that causes flush. But flush is good, that’s when the body pulling out all the bad cholesterol out & boosting HDL. After a certain time you won’t experience flush & then a day off Nicotinic Acid & get back on it. The flush will come back. Flush is the secret to long healthy life. It’s not an allergy. There are no known case of anyone dying from flush. But this is something you have to titrate into slowly. Nothing to be panicked.

@larsnystrom6698 Год назад
@Nifty Nan The reason to take TMG (TriMethylCystein) is usually to supply the body with extra Methyl groups. When the body gets rid of excessive vitamin B3, it consumes Methyl groups. (>Reference Chris Masterjohn). The Glycine is just an extra bonus if you also take NAC. Taking NAC usually doesn't cause any problems. But it's just the Cysteine you want. And if you get enough from your Protein, maybe that's enough. The research has so far been made with very high doses of NAC and Glycine. Suprisingly high doses! It would be nice to know how much you really need. I'm beginning to suspect that much of the problem with Glutathion is caused simply by older people not getting enough of protein. They might need 1.2 g/kg bodyweight. And not the RDA of 0.8 g/kg.

"With age, the body loses its capacity to make a key element of energy production called NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) ... Past research also has shown that NAD is not effective when given directly to mice so the researchers sought an indirect method to boost its levels. To do so, they only had to look one step earlier in the NAD supply chain to a compound called NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) ... The researchers found a variety of beneficial effects of NMN supplementation, including in skeletal muscle, liver function, bone density, eye function, insulin sensitivity, immune function, body weight and physical activity levels. But these benefits were seen exclusively in older mice ... When we give NMN to the young mice, they do not become healthier young mice," Yoshino said. "NMN supplementation has no effect in the young mice because they are still making plenty of their own NMN ... Some tumor cells are known to have a higher capability to synthesize NAD, so we were concerned that giving NMN might increase cancer incidence," Imai said. "But we have not seen any differences in cancer rates between the groups." www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/10/161027122047.htm Source of NMN on Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079S3XF4H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
