Rex Trailer 60 Years in TV 

Thanks, Rex for helping all of us at The Arc of Massachusetts bring attention and support to people with developmental disabilities!

I never knew so many famous people watched Boom Town just like I did. This is a really great video. Thanks for posting it.

He was so important to us kids....he was really the epitome of goodness...

I used to " saddle up" with Rex by putting a pillow on the arm of our overstuffed living room chair and used belts for reins. I got my own horse years later. Love you Rex!

people, this is my childhood. my early years in Gloucester Massachusetts were filled with perfect mornings. this show was an important part of that. I believed Boomtown was a real place then. As time has passed, I have come to realize that it WAS real because if it wasn't so many of us would not be grieving now. What a wonderful image of what a man is/was for a little girl. Such a gift. A debt I can never repay.

Rex is still going strong and just appeared on the Steve Katsos show, talking about his career on Boom Town, as well as a bit about his life after Boom Town. Rex is right up there with the other icons of my early childhood, like Bozo, Major Mudd, Captain Kangaroo, Miss Jean on "Romper Room", and the 3 Stooges. THANK YOU, REX!

Rex was an American Original with many talents and many followers. He meant a lot to us kids we wished we could have been on his show. R I P Rex we love yahh.

I was on Boomtown twice, when Pablo was still with us. Was with a group from the Boys Club called "The Bunker Hillbillies"

I just learned of Rex's passing. We all knew this day would finally arrive, but that doesn't make it any easier to lose him. He was such a big part of, not just New England TV, but New England as a whole. I didn't realize it, but Rex was younger than either BB King or Chuck Berry (and to New Englanders in the 1960s, he had as big an impact as they did). RIP Rex Trailer . . . we truly appreciated you.

my sister, cousin and i were on this show quite often as well as on Bozo with Frank Avaruch...thanx mom, it was fun!

RIP Rex I met the man once. Never got on the show though.

He had quite a nice life. My condolences to his family.

APRIL 22,2012 REX TRAILER From the old TV series BOOM TOWN will be at the Lancaster Flea Market singing some of his ol cowboy songs. Come on down. Anyone wearing a cowboy hat gets free admission.

Rex Trailer's Boomtown:The Movie.I'm admittedly by his Daughter Jillian a Die Hard fan of his(Rex Trailer's that is.)Now there are 2 versions of Rex Trailer's Boomtown:The Movie the original from WBZ-TV4 in Boston and the latter day version as seen on WGBH-Ch.2 on consecutive nights in Prime time and next I must play that other DVD of those nights on Ch.2.

We bowled on his show for Kraft Carmelo bars , no word of it anywhere?

Project upcoming in not too distant future, when they have any formal function for him, in lieu of a public remembrance style event- Collective of any folks here who can re-write Rex's song at the end, and it should be retitled- We Appreciate You.
