Mutas are balanced on the premise that you're playing in Archon mode, with one player whose sole job is to micro around a clump of them like you're in a MOBA. Maybe the balance update we need is for widow mines to cost 3 supply, but only in 1v1; in all other game modes (2v2, etc) they go back to 2.

I think you nailed it. The key to handling the big Terran eco is constant pressure on the bank, rather than taking the fights in the middle that the Terran player wants. Honestly my trouble is figuring how the heck you do that as a Protoss when he can disrespect the heck out of your army and map presence.

​@@arbiterally101 honestly no clue. I can only imagine having multiple prisms dancing around in different spaces...but even then, that's so much more fragile - depending on keeping the Prisms alive.

@@arbiterally101 Sounds like Terran can use a bit of a nerf. To what I don't know. Their late game could use a bit of a nerf, so maybe ghosts, since they counter plenty of units. They can get the big economy going because of things like mules and being able to play defensively. Not to mention I heard svc are actually pretty tanky units. Where you can effectively 2 shot drones and probes, scvs would instead need 3 shots. They can also effectively get global map sight with their scans after a certain point.

Zerg and Terran are the exact same in that regard. You have to slow down the economy. It's more important against zerg though. Neither terran or zerg need a buff or nerf.

@@kosmosXcannon What Terrans really need a nerf to is the map pool. Crimson Court and Dynasty are both heavily Terran-favored, almost 2 to 1 in both matchups, and Ghost River and Post Youth are also slightly Terran favored; that's almost half the map pool. Claustrophobic maps like these where there's only one attacking lane in the beginning, and where minerals block expansion and attack paths, tend to favor the guy who specializes in turtling and can drop miners from the sky.

Just add some nydus in the bases and a flood of zerg shit and we have the Zagara swarm also known as THE swarm heart of the swarm should have been (seriously Kerrigan should have died xd)

It still makes sense to call it a best-of-two because there are repercussions for going 2-0 compared to 1-1. In a best-of-three, the repercussions are usually that the loser drops to the loser's bracket or gets eliminated. In a best-of-two, the repercussions might include an Ace match, comparative placements, seeding, first-round byes, etc. It's literally no different, there's no reason an even number can't be a best-of. And I don't see that as referring to which player (or team) is best, but which one achieves the better outcome. Those two things are not synonymous. For instance, if Player A only has a 10% chance of winning against Player B because of a skill difference, we would say Player B is the better player because he has a 90% chance of winning. Despite that, in 1/100 best-of-three series, Player A would go 2-0 against Player B. It's not because Player A is suddenly better, but because his outcome was better in that instance. Probability. It matters who performs on the day. In any case, we already know words and phrases are not perfect at conveying ideas, and for the sake of brevity we associate terms with meaning that is generally understood. It is completely arbitrary whether we call a best-of-three a "best-of-three" or a "first-to-three" or a "glomp glarb gloop." Once a sufficient group of a language's speakers collectively agree to the term, it is incorporated into the lexicon and for the sake of not wasting time debating and misunderstanding, it's more appropriate to just accept it. The term is what it is, it is well established, and there's no point trying to change it.

Clem knew he would lose a base race against mutas because they have superior mobility and significant DPS, they can scout for any flying buildings, and Reynor's ability to endlessly build while the slow Terran forces chase him across the map and try to scout for burrowed drones without a Raven would just never work. It was gg, and the elongated vertical split of the map really made army mobility very favorable for the mutas. The same strat on a diagonal split would seem much less effective, but good on Reynor for playing the map well. At least Clem can afford a new desk after this loss.
