Never before the revolution of 1979 would you hear Persian music of this quality, beauty, originality and original composition. Perhaps the best thing for us Uranians is a measure of suppression. We stop being frivolous and start being creative, artistic and elegant. When I hear this song and then immediately listen to a piece by vigen, I can see the ocean that we have traversed to arrive here. Iranian pop music along with argentinian tangos are now the absolutely BEST POP MUSIC IN THE WORLD. HOW DO I KNOW? I have invested £75,000 in buying 4,000 cds of world music from Japan to Africa and Latin America. And I've not heard better than today's modern Persian music.
