What would be a good album to start with for Grausamkeit? I've actually never heard of his stuff. I listened to a bit of the Stardust demo last week and it seemed pretty interesting. I actually liked the synth bits more than the black metal parts
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 stardust, fucking goat horness, angeldestruction, pink green 666, hell goat. I would highly recommend checking out the song "krätze"
Radio Free Innsmouth you’re in for a treat if you start down the BSoD rabbit hole. The guy has more than a dozen projects. Seelenmorast is a 2x LP compilation of only his projects.
He has projects like heroin makes happy, corneus, entwertung, the golden toad etc just check metal archives to see what else he got but lots of it is rare
I actually haven’t dug too deep into Vothana yet, but I definitely will be after this. Have you heard that Baise Ma Hache project? Some excellent French black metal
There is this wacky story about Kenny (Vothana). He allegedly came from Vietnam to USA and apart from his main releases that labels put out, most of his stuff he kept private. All those demos and stuff he only shared with his fellow bm underground allies that he trusted and that he considered worthy of listening to his music. But one day one of those trusted contacts leaked all that shit online so in an affect he destroyed all the vinyl and tapes that had that material, so all we are left with are those leaks that are hard to find and sometimes in a pretty shit quality. Anyways for a good starting point I would recommend "Vua Quang Trung" - Demo IV - it is pretty epic and represents his style well. Also if anyone is interested I have all the demos available on me hard drive, so hit me up if you want me to share it
Please hit me up bro. Yungmfwavy@gmail.com I have commando and never to submit already, if you have Hoang gia phan or Lời thề trung thành / Oath of Allegiance, I'd really appreciate it
I'd love to have whatever is on your hard drive. I already have: Demo I. Tiéng Goị Lính Vào Chién Tranh Demo II. Trưng Trắc - Trưng Nhị A Night of Painful Black Metal - Rehearsal IV (Demo) Demo III. Chính Sách Vũ Lục Tàn Bạo Demo IV. Vua Quang Trung Demo V. Bản Tuyên Ngôn Hoang Gia (EP) Trên Con Đường Danh Vọng - On The Path Of Honour (Demo) you can email me at karstensorting1@gmail.com. Thanks!
Wacky ideologies best ideologies (or most entertaining at least) Speaking of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy, there's a brass statue of him in Dublin I still have yet to get round to visiting
yeah it's basically just Wulkanaz and Tomhet, and then his solo project Wagner Ödegård it's silly though, because they all sound basically the same and they're all just him and a hired drummer kinda like how the Varathron guy does Varathron AND Katavasia AND Funeral Storm AND Zaratus and they're all very similar sounding but they're all great so I'm not complaining
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 lmao , yeah you’re right, very similar! At least try to have sound different. It’s like Profanatica, I’m a fan but it’s all the same , last album I really enjoyed was “thy Kingdom come”
Great video.. My pick for an international split album Lutomysl (Ukraine) + Malveillance (Canada) + Kaltetod (Germany) + Manierisme (Japan) with a Black Cilice / Vothana cover.
Wulkanaz is amazing, never a shortage of quality jams from Wagner Riffmaster Ödegård. Ride with the riffs or die by the riffs Still pissed I missed a copy of that Vothana album from Klaxon.
I don't know how, but today I came across Vothana, I think it was from the split with Satanic Warmaster. Pretty cool to see it covered here as well. As I know a lot of vietnamese people due to work I thought it would be a good thing to get to know this band. Maybe I should hunt down a shirt as well, to teach the vietnamese people of Germany about what their homecountry has to offer 🙂
Ideologically they're similar but musically I think Wulkanaz is closer to like the second Peste Noire album or something. Arckanum is a lot more normal-sounding, if that makes sense.
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 I see Wulkanaz more as the missing link between Ildjarn and old Arckanum, if that makes sense. I never started thinking about Peste Noire when listening to them, but I can see why you'd thing about old Graveland.
I love all of Wagner's projects, even though they are incredibly similar. The Wagner Odegard album "Om domedag och de femton järtekn" was originally going to be the successor to the Wulkanaz S/T album but the session drummer didn't have time to rehearse the drum parts. So Wagner recorded everything himself instead and released it as a W.O album instead. So I guess maybe the main difference from W.O and Wulkanaz is the session drummer?
It seems like the Wagner stuff is maybe a bit punkier and happier-sounding, and Wulkanaz is darker and weirder...ish? I've got most of his stuff and it does all sound the same. Fine with me because it's all great
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 Agreed. Wagner released a new record a couple days ago and it may be the best material under the Wagner Odegard name. I've only listened to a the Wulkanaz full lengths and my favorite is by far the self titled. I need to get his stuff physically but one can only spend so much haha.
Lmao apparitions ideology is hilarious and its funny that you mentioned Christianity Identity because i unironically know like 3 Christian Identitarians.
Yeah, when I was researching Vothana I just thought of Apparition, and I wasn't sure when I was ever going to get a chance to talk about them or if anyone else even knew about his stuff
Koreans are some of the like most christian people ever. So weird that they took so strongly to a middle eastern religion while the Japanese held so strongly to their own indigenous religion.
