Just stumbled across your channel while checking out Satanic Warmaster, and then I came across this video. I subscribed to the metalhead box for a while a few years ago, mainly just to discover more metal bands, and they sent me a Nunslaughter wall flag. I totally forgot about them until I saw this video. NOW, I will finally go check out Nunslaughter. Even though I'm relatively new to black metal, your videos are super entertaining, and I love finding channels that help me discover new black metal bands so I can stop being such a giant poser.
Absolutely love Nunslaughter. They played my 21st birthday and several other shows I put on, signed my back patch. I saw Jim's last show with them too. Sabbat(Japan) episode sometime?
The releases are really close, and I'm trying to decide whether Nunslaughter came up with the phrase 'Rotting Christ' first, or if they heard there's a band from Greece with that name and figured it's a good phrase to use as a demo title. I'm thinking the latter, as RC started using that name 2 years before Nunslaughter released their demo.
I've been meaning to for a while. It's kinda tricky because a lot of their songs are very long and ambiance-focused, and I haven't quite completely cracked all of their albums. I will say Der Freiwillige Bettler is one of my favorite black metal releases.
Nekrofilth is such a blast, "worm ritual" has the best production of any metal album IMO... like you said, that fuckin bass! Yeah man, my first encounter with nunslaughter years ago was exactly that -"holy fuck, where do i start??"
