I actually saw those after I did the episode. I didn't know if it was just because Malefic was on Hydra Head or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if Justin's a fan. Similar emotional wavelength.
Late to the party but new to this great channel. If you have not heard early Swans than you have missed how Godlesh used them as the framework for their first EP and LP.
The heavy distorded bass almost replacing they rhythm guitar while the weird guitar leads do their thing combined with the drum machine is one of my favourite aspects of Streetcleaner. It's a bit of a shame that the first Thorns album didn't go more into that direction after their demos with the ineresting bass work. Someone combining old thorns stlye black metal guitar work with the opressive and claustrophobic nature of Streetcleaner (that heavy distorded bass combined with the drum machine/militaristic drum work is a really interesting concept. I don't really care as much for the riff heavier Godflesh album, for them the weird guitar leads and the distorded bass is much more interesting to me.
I love Us and them as well..its the only album not to be released on vinyl. That new Jesu that just dropped is alright.. Thanks for talking bout this band. Stay safe..

I'd have to do some research first. I've only really heard Winterstones, but based on descriptions I've read of their later material, it seems like something I'd be into.
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 oh yeah they are very creative and inconporate many different styles from kraut rock to prog and garage rock, also some improvisation and such. You should check albums Face lion, De ware hond and Herval imo, they are all different but real good
