I don't even think it's about her being a woman. As Ana said she had the most to lose and the onus is on her, not him, to ensure there's not a conflict of interest when it comes to her reporting. She's too old to have made such a silly blunder. Especially in the world we live in today.

She compromised her integrity as a journalist, and should be fired for that--not for the salaciousness of the communications. If she was attracted to RFK (shudder) and wanted to act on that attraction, she should have told her employer. If she had, her relationship with RFK would not have been our business (her fiancée and his wife might still have issues). But she didn't. A journalist has nothing but their reputation for honesty. Ms. Nuzzi has sacrificed that reputation. Maybe she can get a job at OAN.

You can have pictures you don't know about. I once had a boyfriend, tell me he took pictures while I was sleeping. I looked for them in case he wasn't kidding. Never found them. So who knows.
I'm old enough to remember high school friends writing detailed, intimate stories when they signed my yearbooks. I was criticized for being "too superficial" when I signed theirs. My 15 year old thought was always "somebody's grandma might read through it--or even worse, a parent!! Always being cautious with my stuff. Actually, Olivia Nuzzi is a very good reporter and attractive as well. I've seen her on MSNBC and CNN many times. I don't think this relationship was abusive, at least she didn't say it was. But, she, as the reporter shouldn't have been engaged in a conflict of interest. He, as a married guy, shouldn't have been been getting nude or semi-nude photos of her. Perhaps if he was an actual candidate this would be a bigger deal, but, since he's not, it's only minor story and not really noteworthy.

It's not about sexism, not this time anyways. If the mistress was someone in a different profession, that's different. This is a journalist whose main gig is the political beat, and is having affair with a politician she wrote about, without disclosing that conflict of interest. That's it. If she was a sports writer, people would focus on him instead because her work would be irrelevant.
