I am older than RFK. I know where he got that idea. There is an old black and white series called the Night Gallery (Earwig episode) where a worm enters a man's head through his ear while he is sleeping. The average American kills 100 innocent animals per year. 😢 I don't support Kristi Noem in any way. She is cruel. That said, most people support shooting innocent animals in the head--they just do it vicariously and pay slaughterhouse workers to use the captive bolt gun. We humans don't need to eat other animals (in fact, vegans live on average 6♀️ to 10♂️years longer than animal eaters). And innocent animals do NOT deserve to be incarcerated, tortured, branded, castrated, and have their teeth and other body parts cut off (all without anesthesia), then killed at a fraction of their normal lifespans--many dismembered while still fully conscious--just for the pleasure of human taste buds. Everyone can make the choice to get out of an abusive relationship today simply by going vegan.✌🏽❤️🐕🐖🐈🐄🐣🐟🐬🐐🐑🦃🐢 To quote Alice Walker: "The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than Black people were made for Whites or women for men."

The problem is after billionaires took over both parties (Neoliberalism--Trickle Down), they have made it only those supported by billionaires can win an election. Look at the job they did on Bernie Sanders--Hillary told the DNC if she wasn't the candidate there wouldn't be any donations coming from wealthy benefactors, so they fed her the answers beforehand for debates and the media crucified him.

Jordan, I remember the story you did when you went to an NRA convention and included some clips from a speech Noem made. I’m sure you remember it- at age ten, she and her dad were hunting and camping; near dark, dad sent her, on horseback, back to their campsite. Alone, in the dark. *Thinking she was being followed by a bear.* She didn’t find out until much later that it was her dad following her, “making bear noises.” I believe she told the story to prove to that roomful of the nuttiest of all the gun nuts that, from a young age, she learned how to be tough and brave. That she was brought up to be a rugged, gun-totin,’ horseback-ridin’ outdoors… person. It just made me feel sorry for her. I’m a woman, and I could hear in her voice when she told that story that she was still traumatized by the memory. But, modern conservative women must either be subservient tradwives OR “alpha male” personalities in women’s bodies. Not that they’re trans, OH CHRIST NO NOT THAT! She grew up without ever being allowed to talk about how scared she was that night, nor about any other “softness” or “weakness.” She isn’t even aware that that’s what’s been bothering her for her entire life. It’s no wonder she is the way she is.
