The original Xbox version of this was best graphically. Unfortunately I can't get this to work on my 360 without freezing up within a few minutes

If you launch the game through Avalaunch you won't have stuttering issue. Nice video!

It depends on what your rgh is. This was running on a falcon rgh1. Not that powerful and I was loading tools in the background.

@@WarHeadinc1 yeah I run it on a xenon jtag I had for over 10 years lol just noticed much improved performance when launching with AvaLaunch through xexmenu. Give it a try sometime if you notice stutters sometimes when playing

@@DefendingTheTruthyou could turn off the motion blur, you’ll get a much crisper experience after that. Just set the trails setting to off.

Definitive Edition has frrezing for half sec which in original doesn't. Only good about DE is no island loading screens and loading screen.

@@curiousmind_ Well yeah it drop a lot around little Haiti, Starfish island and during Rampage Mission when the game is force to Spawn more Gang ped than normal, Hotring when you have to race against lots of car, and worst of all during a 2 Stars or more Police chasing. I heard that turning off trail in the Menu option will help but nope.

It runs pretty bad. On my 360 slim the framerate seems to go below 15fps in a lot of places but the controls are at least semi responsive. Makes certain missions almost unplayable and exlploring the city a bit of a chore. If you absolutely cannot or do not want to play the PC release you'll need an original Xbox to get the constant 30fps. Otherwise you're probably better off playing the PS2 version on PS2, PS3, or PS4. Unless Rockstar fixes the definitive trilogy.

Does this run better on an RGH rather than a standard 360. I heard it had problems on there. Same with Jet Set Radio Future

So far when I was playing the game. The loading screen from city to city was like a flash. I haven’t played the game fully to the end. I plan on making a new recording very soon. I will see if I can get jet set radio future and test it on my rgh.

@@VintageGameZ I do not think you can use the og disc. You can buy it online in Microsoft store but it won’t be as great as this video

@@VintageGameZ yes you can use the original disc of Vice City to play but you need a Hard Drive in order to use the backwards compatibility and is known VC has some issues on the xbox 360 but you can play it yes

Tbh it looks like it sometimes when I start playing the game for 30mins to an hour. It might be my rgh since I was using programs in the background to check something while playing the game. If the game lagged on the og Xbox then I know it’s just the game itself

You are playing in retrocompatibility? I am here, but it runs like shit, dead framerate and reaaally bad optimized :( Also had the Dame problema with San Andreas and III (althought San Andreas runs WAY better when the controls are defined as standard and not modern)

U can simply just buy an original Xbox version of Grand Theft Auto Vice City disc game online somewhere on like eBay or Amazon. It’s backwards compatible for the 360, just saying. You don’t need modded files lol
