despite being old and one generation behind zanscare empire counterpart that actually design to defeat them, javelin actually remain a reliable and not to be underestimated because its has a very good armament, the javelin launcher. yes, its a railgun that launch a big solid metal javelin, capable to pierce beam shield and cut mobile suit into two. and esentially, javelin launcer are the same thing with dainsleif in gundam iron blooded orphan series ... which the weapon used by glajarhorn to destroy entire rebel fleet.
Tomino was so sick of the company wanting more merchandising and toys for the show. That he pitched the idea of the giant wheeled battleships because he thought they were so absurd it'd be rejected. Only for the company to love the idea. lol.
They remind me of those AT-ATs from The Empire Strikes Back, an impractical-looking vehicle but almost unstoppable to enemy forces. But yeah, they look really silly
For the main Federation Grunt in Victory Gundam,I did not expect it to have this little screen time (same goes for the Jamesgun).I mean,Victory had like 50 episodes.
For all their age, Javelin remained a credible threat to much newer Zanscare MP suits. Just like old Fed Warships, they are old but they are not harmless at all. Especially with Beam shield upgrade allow them to compere with modern warships
