GM's might be depict as cannon fodder's and grunt's but truth is, spec wise the GM's are really capable and can outperform many Zeon ms especially the latter variants like the command, sniper's and intercept, but the problem is that the pilots are inexperienced and mostly started as fighter jets so thats why they get slaughter when facing Zeon's ms, the second reason is Tomino.

You gotta remember that most fighter pilots survive and destroy zeon mobile suits earning there place as a gm pilot while zeon lost a huge chunk of their experience forces (I don't know how are they experience they have never fought any mobile suits) from Feddie Tanks, infantry, fighter jets, and ships well and a legendary gundam,
@@FederationMS787 Oh yeah, you're right, i forgot that the battle of Loum cost Zeon many experienced ms pilot leaving only a bunch of new recruits, thanks for correcting me, but I think that the reason why so many GM's were destroyed at the battle of A Bao Qu is because Zeon has better fortification and firepower that overwhelmed the GM's since their beam spray gun and bazooka might be insufficient to punch through those defences and it's on Zeon's playground so they might have the surroundings advantage.
