At Chur, Rhätische Bahns Arosa-Line winds its way through town like a streetcar/tram. From here to its destination 26km (16miles) away the train has to climb more than 1100m (3000feet). Oct. 20th 2008
Europe, where people are still responsible for their own actions and the railways can operate without fanfare and noise designed to wake the dead. I love it. Japan is the same, a train can run down the middle of a street without bells and whistles.
