@@marksmith18889 boohoo I don't care about the people behind the character why aren't everyone working all the time in an era where information spreads like wildfire
As an Australian I was so bloody proud watching her perform today. She’s blazing the trail for other women wrestlers in Australia right now. There really needs to be more main stream coverage of what she’s done at such a young age. Charlotte was awesome as well and it was easily my match of the night.
One thing I liked was despite her being heel and in a heel group, she won fair and square. No one helped her, and she was simply the better woman for this night. That's the beginning of the reign I wanted for Rhea.
I never thought there would be a day where I would be more excited to see women’s championship match than men’s championship match. Rhea is just soooo damn entertaining to watch, she even made the Royal Rumble super special. Well deserved Rhea and great booking by Trips! Charlotte was excellent as always but Rhea just stole the show!!!!
@@wadewilson8011 same the women's division was what got me back into wrestling cause the mens division was so stale for the longest time and booking was so horrid. so when they started doing more women's stuff it was very refreshing to see so many talented women in the late 2010s.
Honestly, I'm surprised to hear someone say that this year of all years. In my opinion, WWE's women's division has been a highlight for quite some time now, and has in many instances been much more exciting than the men's main event scene... but despite how fantastic their match was, the build for Flair vs Ripley was very poor, as it has been for Belair vs ASUKA. Meanwhile, the story of Rhodes' redemption, and Reigns' hubris (along with the Fall of the Bloodline) has been pitch-perfect. The former isn't the fault of the female performers, just that the creative hasn't been as good. Either way, *amazing* match for Rhea & Charlotte last night. Fully deserve all the plaudits they're getting.
Truly an amazing match; it had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. And Rhea Ripley is receiving her well-deserved kudos here. Only 26, and already she's built herself a hell of a resume: 1) First ever NXT UK Women's Champ 2) NXT Women's Champ 3) Raw Women's Champ 4) Women's Tag Team Champ 5) Royal Rumble Winner, record for longest time in a women's Rumble 6) Smackdown Women's Champ Rhea has officially held every available women's championship active during her career. Just wow.
I wonder if Rhea & Bianca will finally have their match, because I know that Rhea mentioned that she didn't pick Bianca for a reason, so I wonder if that's going to happen.
I actually got extremely emotional at the end of the match,I think it was because I was rooting for Rhea to win and I kept getting stressed when I thought she would lose, and also because I’m Australian and seeing her become a grand slam champion (at least I think she is-),made me super happy,I also cried literally a little while later because of how Sami and Kevin won the tag titles lol-
It is one of the best redemption victories ever. Rhea lost her NxT and Raw titles both to Charlotte, and defeated her cleanly in an all out war for the Smackdown title. What a satisfying match!
So happy for her she is unreal, so genuinely talented and has worked so hard for this. Charlotte was so gracious in defeat and was clearly happy for Rhea. What a night to win it, at Wrestle mania in front of her family. Congratulations Rhea, so well deserved. ❤
A great athlete and a great actress, great at impersonating her heel character in the ring, as well as kind and humble when out of it! Love this woman! Congrats on a Title well deserved!!
As a fellow Aussie, growing up a little girl in australia. Seeing a woman, let alone an Aussie woman, in her position was just a dream. She chased that dream and look at her now, I’m so incredibly proud of her I can’t even put it into words 😭😭🇦🇺
First time I laid eyes on Rhea, I knew she was special. Her and Charlotte create a masterpiece every time they work together. Great to see that Rhea won this one at WM.
Rhea winning the Smackdown women's championship and Indi Hartwell winning the NXT women's championship earlier in the day at Stand & Deliver gives Australia 2 women's champions in WWE.
This was the match of the night for me. Congratulations to Rhea! And great job Charlotte. Don’t understand why people don’t love Charlotte as much, she is clearly one of the best women wrestlers in the business (including AEW).
This was probably one of my favourite events of the night. What an amazing wrestler. I'm glad I stayed up for it. Well deserved, also what a match that was 👏 ❤
This match is a game changer. I never really been a fan of “today’s wrestling, but this match blew me away. Reminds me so much of strong style wrestling in Japan. With Triple HHH directing the show, he’s definitely on to something.
That match was a masterclass in selling. Both ladies looked like they were unalive multiple times. Blood was spilled the hard way. They literally left it all out there, and it was great.
I would like at least for Mania, for them to document the backstage planning and spot discussion for these matches. I would love to see Rey and Dom, and Rhea and Charlotte talk about what they were going to attempt and try with Creative. Kayfabe is basically dead as much as I would like it not to really be, but it could just be a WWE Network exclusive docu series for every Mania pre-match planning and post match discussion. I would love to get an insight as to exactly how all this works.
I think the talent are getting way more of a say in what they do and how their matches are constructed, which is way better than when they had agents telling them move for move what to do.
Rhea has done so much on Raw And Smackdown after leaving NXT, I think her career took a turn for the best when she joined the The Judgement Day. And The match vs Charlotte Flair at Mania 39 I think Rhea was the better competitor as Charlotte made Rhea fight for the belt ,And won so she deserves its...👍👍👍😎
Big props to both competitors. And a big flip Of the bird to all those who e been hatin on Charlotte in the lead up and over the past year or so. I’ll never understand how anyone could dislike such a talented ring general.
She is a special talent, She gets it and understands how to put not only herself over but others she works with. I see many years of great things from her.
The Bloodline story brought me back to WWE but it’s the Judgment Day, and Rhea’s work especially, that’s made me a fan again. Despite the weak buildup those two absolutely tore the house down. Incredible storytelling in that match!
The crowd weren’t silent at all during that match! Definitely a favorite of 2023! Rhea and Charlotte always make magic together ❤️❤️ well deserved win for the eradicator!
How conflicting that Rhea Ripley is a heel we genuinely root for. Congratulations to Rhea on a well deserved historical experience. NXT UK Women's, NXT Women's, RAW Women's, Women's Tag Team and now...SmackDown Women's champion. Gotta love it or, at the very least, respect it
@@MuhammadAli-vn1jf she's won the NXT UK women's championship, the NXT women's championship, Raw women's championship, wwe women's tag team championship and now the Raw women's championship. She is a grand slam champion.
Best women's match of all time. It was the best match all weekend. I got tears in my eyes seeing both Rhea's and Charlotte's reactions at the end. It was amazing.
In terms of the quality of the match, it delivered, but the build wasn't good enough. I felt pretty confident that the match would be stellar, so if they'd just spent a bit more time with Flair & Ripley it definitely could have earned that slot.
It's great to see all the work she's put into herself and her character. Huge change for me because I completely stopped watching main roster WWE until HHH took over. The last time I saw Rhea was when she beat Shana for the NXT title. Hands down one of the best in the company, male or female
