Finally, a possible explanation for the past me for the reason why Albedo has a similar motif on his clothes to the twins, the 4-pointed star with dots thingy. Maybe it doesn't mean much, but back then it drove me crazy. Going from that, crack moment, cuz while both the twins have the full star somewhere on their clothes, both also have a way bigger one on their back, and both have that one split in two. Again, could be nothing, I mean twins being two halves isn't that groundbreaking but still.

Ever since the "the traveler twins are akivili" theory from wei, I started wondering if Aether and Lumine could become 1 being. Like they do a fusion dance or something and become 1. The final thoughts section of this video made me feel like that is more likely to actually happen in the end of the game.

When you were talking about the Comic Man and had Phanes text up it got me thinking, what if Rhinedottir was aiming to create a new God and that is why Celestia attacked, to prevent this new god from being made. Further, what if Rhinedottir succeeded and the cataclysm in Khaenri'ah isn't Celestia attacking, but the new god lashing out. Would explain why Celestia has been quite since the cataclysm. In the video Hoyo released before the launch of the game the chapters never mention Celestia, it goes Snezhnaya > Khaenri'ah. The final boss potentially being this new god since Phanes was killed by it. Also mentioning the pulling souls from the Abyss, when the Khaenri'ah event happened it was mentioned that monsters (abyssal creatures) attacked different places. Pulling this abyssal soul and granting it godhood could of been the source of these monsters appearing. The Hilichurl curse is not Celestial in nature, is this new god affecting those who were nearby during its birth. "Once you reach the end of your journey as I did, you will see for yourself the true nature of this world". Everyone tells us about Celestia and how our search from the start is about them, but the truth is that they are dead, the Khaenri'ahn god is all that remains. Would be poetic that the Godless nation would be destroyed by a God of their own making. 1AM tinfoil hat theory btw. Gonna stop it there otherwise I'd be typing all night. Some of this is probably easily debunked by text in the game. I love Genshin/Hoyo lore

I really have to wonder what threat Khaenri'ah was facing or preparing for, if Rhinedottir was trying to create a Descender and the Universitas Magistrorum wanted to summon one (and got the two twins?). Awesome video as always, the Jung deep dive was super fun and insightful!

These "filler patches" with Mondstadt events are where we learnt about the Fake Sky, Alice, Albedo's AMOGUS plot, Varka, The Captain and Hexenzirkel. For us lore and story players, there's no such thing as filler, only more content.

Now that you've mentioned the reason why the traveler is a descender while the sibling is not actually makes lot of sense. As for the traveler in order to complete the individualisation they need another half, and lumine and aether are two faces of the same coin making a whole like the philosopher stone (they are male and female, they also represent the moon and stars, and the sun is a star) In addition to all of this if the abyss is actually the first stage of alchemy that explains why Gold has made so many abyssal creature. But I also wonder if the abyss could be regarded as the first step of creation in general, you see... The abyss is often described to be something beyond teyvat, as from a different world like the primordial one, the descenders and the travelers, could the abyss actually be where they all were originated? This would mean that the travelers are in a certain way relatives of the primordial one. Tiding this why the genesis pearl story, this might be another clue to the theory of the traveler being the natural heir of the primordial one throne and thus their destiny is to ascend to Celestia, claim their throne and shape the fate of the world

Made me wonder if someone more of his works can be interpreted there, like the Archons and Archetypes, and the synchronicity, The shadow, I kinda see too as how Irminsul hides memories, those things happened and now are on an unconscious plane, and what can be seen it's the conscious plane

this was so good!! for some reason i hadn't made the connection yet that rhinedottir's ultimate goal is the creation of a descender. man, descenders are like the most wanted thing in teyvat, huh? we've got so many major factions involved (past & present) with the creation of a descender. The Fatui, Rhinedottir, Narcissenkreuz, and then we have the Abyss Order with their loom of fate project and I wonder if they're trying to make the abyss twin their version of a descender as well 🤔 endgame is shaping up to be a battle royale between all the descenders lol

I enjoyed this deep dive. Gold was my first big lore interest in Genshin. The more we've learned of Khaenri’ah and Khemia, the more I feel like I am unsure of her grand scheme. She almost seems like the mad scientist archetype. A little more chaotic; a little less maniacal. I think hanging out for an afternoon Rhinedottir and Alice would be the best day of Genshin Impact, ever.

I mean I am pretty convinced Gold is trying to emulate the original way Humans were made. I think Morax is called Deus Auri because he is related to the Geo Sovereign who formed the vessel needed for the Hydro Sovereign, the OG god of life to breathe life into (emulating the way Goddess Nuwa created humans from clay). Khemia especially is derived from this genesis process (from what I gleaned reading Albedo's character story). And yes, I got all this from the Neuviladle. *Shows off my tinfoil hat*

Back here after the alchemy event + Perinheri. Still stand by my earlier comment, in fact, even more. It is no joke for Morax to be referred to as Deus Auri by Neuvillette AND in Perinheri. Gold as a catalyst, gold for purification, gold as the goal, gold as a tool, or a weapon? Zhongli's star/sun imagery only shines out more as the 'golden haired traveller' goes around purifying. He's the golden god, can grant illumination, sight and body to a spirit, and was a colonising force for the heavens. Him holding on to the archon throne (the geo authority) while giving up the gnosis and being the only archon in the story so far to go out of his way to stop people from worshipping him (in re nahida, thoughts manifest reality), the way the exuvia was of draconic form, was morax shedding his skin of the golden god to become red?

No wonder the Persona 4 references during the Golden Apple Archipelago were so apparent. They were dipping into the same source.

I've been thinking about Albedo being an "artificial" descender or a project (kinda have the same opinion about Childe), the video is great but there's a point missing: the place where Elynas described she was before her mother awakened her is the same as she describes Jakob's power. Also she says something about Albedo taking fate in the Cinnabar Spindle weapon.

This makes me want to pose a crack theory where rhinedottir's goal was creating a philosopher stone/cosmic man/primordial one out of the khaenrian king irmin to oppose the world order brought about by the heavenly principles, and technically succeeded, but because of spacetime shenanigans the primordial one was created at an earlier point in time and became/has always been the actual original primordial one 😂 there's too many inconsistencies but it's funny to toss around. This whole time it was actually just a khaneriah vs khaenriah smackdown. The abyss twin figured this out and is mad at everyone involved and feels bad for the innocent bystanders (mostly the cursed khaenrians). Also (zhongli brainrot moment) deus auri...... Around 26:57 - This brings me back to a thought I have everytime the Twins are referenced as Stars, compared to Stars, or are implied literal Stars in human/mortal form... In Binary Systems where two Stars lay at their center, eventually one will consume the other merging for a variety of potential reasons/ways (that part isn't super important for this discussion, although one Star becoming a Black Hole and slowly sucking the life out of still bright Star does have some mildly terrifying implications if we equate the Abyss Twin to the Black Hole in this analogy 😶). This has me thinking what if eventually reuniting with our Sibling leads to the two becoming one as "The Cosmic Man's Individuation"? Now back to the Binary Star analogy the deciding factor of who "wins" in the fusion (maybe saying "who influences the thoughts and ideals of the fusion" is more apt) would be the "brighter" or "larger" one being the one who has a previously mentioned "Will to Rival the World" OR literally brighter as in the one who regains their "Holy" Element instead making the "Abyss" Element their own - potentially just being superior or a direct counter to the other... Bit of a side tangent but I'd definitely prefer this over the stereotypical "I've been searching for my favored person the entire journey only for them to tragically die right at the climax or end of the story, oh what a cruel world..." plot (maybe also throwing in the "True Power awakening through loss/rage" trope), not saying this is what will happen down the road but it's definitely a possible direction the writers could take no question. This also raises another discussion of how they'd handle the Traveler's assumed obtaining of the "Holy" Element, cause that would have to be accessed at some point before the very end of the story as they'd need time for resource collection to level up Talents and Constellations (basically game mechanics having a direct Impact 𝘩𝘦𝘩𝘦 on story/plot points) then by proxy that new element would also need interactions with the existing elements (or maybe not if Geo is anything to go off of 😒) OR might it only have direct interactions with the supposed "Abyss" element... And maybe whatever element Dain will be which is a whole other can of worms as that seems to be a "Khaenri'ahn Energy" Element or "Curse" Element (I'm more partial to "Eclipse" Element as it'd be a nice middle ground between Traveler's Bright/Holy and Sibling's Dark/Abyss analogy/element) instead of any sort of Abyss power as he is vehemently against The Abyss... But I'm stopping at that third tangent or I'll be typing for another half hour. 😂

After completing the entire Alchemy event in 4.5, it's interesting to see that the swap between Rubedo and Citrinitas is actually canon in the event, as the Exams you take from Sucrose give you titles that go: Nigredo - Calx - Rubedo - Citrinitas, and the exam was designed by Albedo, which means he is kinda starting to teach Mondstadt and the rest of the world about Khaenri'an alchemy principles, and given that in the event the entire world hears about our potions and starts using them, I wonder how Celestia is taking it right now

I wonder if when we finally get playable characters from khaenriah, their power won't come from external visions but will instead come from internal power they've gained through individuation. Which as I'm typing this is starting to make me think of Ashikai's recent video about adeptal cultivation and now I'm just wondering if that was just foreshadowing how khaenrians cultivate their own power through individuation....

Maybe Rhinedottir succeeded in turning the traveler into a descender through khemia and this was one of the reasons for the beginning of the cataclysm. This could explain why the traveler was asleep during all of their time in khaneriah until the cataclysm. Afterwards, Rhinedottir created Albedo based off of the chalk composition she saw in the traveler which is why hoyo emphasized all of the similarities in their composition.

Now I think hoyoverse took inspiration from Persona series quite a lot...

The way you put "we will be reunited" and androgynous nature of the primordial human with the traveler's will to seek "individuation" which labels them as a descender was something that left me... flabbergasted at the very least. So Albedo will experiment on us/with us to make the primordial being? Also, is this the "Greatest Sin" which Khaenriah, more specifically Rhinedottir and the Ruler of Khaeriah committed (trying to make a primordial being of their own) which made the Heavenly Principles angry and gave them the punishment(the curse)? 🤔

I have this (long, so I’ll shorten it) theory, about how Khaenri’ah managed to make a Throne equal to the Seven Divine Thrones, and our sibling is the heir to this Throne. The reason why they can’t be considered a Descender is because they belong to this world, because despite not being from the world, they have an inheritance of something that fundamentally belongs to the world, henceforth, they now belong to the world. In fact, this Throne may even be the reason why Irminsul’s records of them is being obfuscated.

We will probably find out whether this is true either in the next versions or, if we are extremely unlucky, only at the end of Genshin. 😥 I've been trying since I've been playing Genshin, unfortunately this has only been the case since 3.0. Before that, I couldn't play Genshin. How the world is structured. However, it is extremely difficult to find out which aspects Hoyovers actually used. But most likely a good mix of many things from all over the world. I would love to write and discuss theories myself. But unfortunately I'm having trouble putting everything into context. Because we are still missing the other regions, it is still difficult to connect everything.😶‍🌫 But to go back to your video. Many of the things you explain in the video are familiar to me. For example, a month ago I bought a book about alchemy and mysticism in order to read exactly that. I love reading things about mythology, history, science and the like. Because it all fascinates me a lot. This book also explains the concept of the cosmic man. I'm so excited to see what will happen. And I'm constantly afraid of what the end will be like.🥶 I'm hoping for a happy ending. Even though I know that there are probably many who don't want that. And I respect that too. Everyone can wish for what they want. But unfortunately I've consumed so many different media at the moment where there was always a terrible ending. That's why I'm very annoyed with the end of the world in various media.😑 It would be refreshing to find a happy ending again. Because it's rare for me to find something I like. But that's just my opinion. But I can at least hope. Since Kaeya is my favorite character and I've had him on my team since the beginning (he stays on my team forever). Of course I hope that we can save the world, that nothing happens to Kaeya and that Khaenri'ah ends up being more of a nation that was simply misunderstood. The new book Perinheri suggests that Rhinedottir is NOT to blame for the Cataclysm. It suggested that Riftwolves were used to fight off Abyssal threats by the Schwanenritter.

honestly i have no idea how it connects to here but i now that i saw it i can't really get it out of my mind. so like Herrsher of the void from honkai is clearly at least somewhat mirroring the keeper of the heavenly principles. but she in her form has two sets of three wings. one with a black red gold and white color, and one that is almost identical to the siblings set of six white and gold wings. she also has that sort of duality going on and I can't help but feel like the siblings are kind of taking after that duality. both meth the keeper, one was sealed in the cube and the other was.. something. one of them saw khanria destroyed by the heavenly principles and since then is going against celestia. the other one is still a sort of pure traveller, befriending the archons and trying to become whole

There you have it even more proof that the abyss sibling is not your real sibling, they're a copy made by alchemy and shifted in purpose by the sinner. Being the almost perfect copy they themselves think they're the real thing with all the memories. I really do hope i'm wrong because then it may mean the 3rd descender: destroyed and broken apart really was your real sibling. I know there's time irregularities and things dont make sense but our perspective as the traveller is warped also we already know we have missing memories.

Technically Genshin is the 4th Honkai installment that they had to change the name of the game to "attract their potential shareholders" that they don't have just 1 IP (which they eventually decided not to IPO). I think Khaen'riah swapped rubedo and citrinitas because they were seeking a human capable of surpassing the gods. They were trying to find a citrinitas that could surpass rubedo.

I think all that Rhinedottir successfully pulled out of the Abyss using Khemia are repressed aspects of Phanes from the Abyss. Elynas and Dvalin both remember a time “before their birth” in the darkness. The Abyss is not a true “Outer space” compared to Teyvat. …How does Fate predict when Surtalogi’s pet beast would be unleashed? How do the “dead” carry misfortune? They are not truly from outside, but rejected aspects of Phanes and the “ideal world” of Teyvat that he created. This lines up well with the idea of Phanes being a creator god similar to that of Gnosticism - A deeply flawed Demiurge, who wanted to create a perfect world, therefore split up “good” and “evil” creating his own worst enemy alongside his paradise. Dragons and heroes, an innocent game in childhood, a self-destructive delusion in adulthood. (As with the Narzissenkreuz gang.) Phanes, in the beginning (Or is it the end..? Just a time travel thing that’s another long story.) decided to live inside his own eggshell, creating a thriving, perfect world. A god that should have no fear, hiding from his own shadow, his own darkest self. Every living creature created by Phanes rejects “The Abyss”. A human being so deep in denial faced with past trauma may mentally regress and experience flashbacks of traumatic events. As Phanes is a god, his beloved humans regress from technological and cultural advancement to a tribal stage, taking on a hairy, animalistic appearance. Natural disasters are the representations of flashbacks. Red skies, dying plants, destroyed cities… As certain inhabitants of world get more curious about the truths of the world, they may reconnect with this collective unconscious (The unconscious Phanes) and see visions of “Apocalypse” which look similar for everyone that comes into contact with it. Melusines see something different, initially beautiful landscapes since they came from Elynas, who came from the Shadow Realm. Re-connecting with the “accepted parts” is initially a pleasant experience for them. As Canotila says: “I see: The flames on the throne have been extinguished, and the burnt ashes have once again turned into trees. Flowers bloom with your every step, bringing change to an otherwise inevitable decay in the future.” - A Melusine can accept the truth and still perceive the world as a “garden”. They just want to be integrated, but then… “I just wanted to see the blooming sunflowers and the cute puppy... But a monster came after me, and the sky got darker. I heard many voices talking about things that I didn't understand. The world got a little darker whenever the monster came near. The garden, the palace, the great trees, and the flowers all disappeared. It was very gloomy, and I only saw ruins...” - Canotila’s garden turned into “Apocalypse” after she got comfortable with the truth, but she experienced the violent rejection that the dreamscape (Phanes and his ideal world) show towards something that “shouldn’t be here” (truth). I don’t think the Traveler is truly from another world either. Just another repressed aspect of Phanes, who may or may not be able to help the situation of this mental wreck of a god…
