I just bought their tow strap and a soft shackle and even though they are not made in the USA the quality is great. I wanted a kinetic rope but they have been out of stock for a while now
Today I returned to Amazon a Rhino USA rope & 2-shackle + zippered pouch kit I bought for $180, a good price (I thought). Sold as new. But I am keeping the Yankum rope I bought, which by itself cost the same but did not include shackles and pouch. The Rhino kit arrived on my doorstep directly from Rhino USA, in its retail box identifying its contents, not an Amazon box. The box was in good condition and sealed. When I opened it and took out the rope for inspection, I found evidence of prior use ... soft and distinct indentations and black marks, as from a metal shackle. So as much as it pains me to go with the very expensive Yankum rope, plus a couple of soft shackles purchased at additional cost, my first experience with Rhino USA is my last.
I have had the RHINO USA 30' kinetic rope for a bit now no issues what so ever, so I went all out with RHINO USA got the 20 ' recovery strap, and the 8' tree saver to go along with the kinetic rope
Is it Rhino or Chino? Since it's inferior Chinese made junk, it should be called CHINO and completely remove the USA label because it's NOT American made!
@@RealJeep over 20 pulls and going strong. The little xj was able to yank a gladiator on 40s out of an ice hole. I'm proud to support the 7 us citizens on the rhino team
Ive been in the search for a good recover rope. I am a bit wary of buying from rhino because of how cheap they are. Ive always been a believer of “you get what you pay for”. I would love some imput from those who actually own one and use it.
so far so good. I'm actually really impressed. I was a little nervous with the low price compared to the big companies as well. If I ever break it I will make a post about it on my instagram: @thecheaphawk. I get piece of mind knowing that if I do break it they have a lifetime warranty. I also carry regular tow straps as back ups or for winching applications. I think you will be pleased with your purchase. I know I will be ordering the one inch for my 1 ton pickup overland project. Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving a comment.
@@shannondixon3767 has anyone tried the warranty yet? I had a China made Smittybilt that I gave to a friend in exchange for a favor and now in the market for a new one. Smittybilt was never really put to the test, but there is a good video of straps being tested and watching Chinese ropes snap. I think using USA in your name selling Chinese products is in very poor taste, just my opinion.
@@medicoremedic2962 I haven't yet. I only have a hitch, d-ring and tow strap from them. I would think they would honor that warranty. A lot of KERRs are made in China. It's really only double braided nylon. If you want a Bubba, Yankum or Billet (Made in USA), it's gonna cost you way more. If used under the right conditions, I think most ropes will do fine.
They are very up front with the fact that they aren't made in the US. It does support a US family though and their customer service is top notch and their China made products are backed by lifetime warranties. If you've run one of their products and had an issue with it not holding its rated weight let them know.
