Thanks for the link, Yamba Girl...I'll get back to you in a few hours... Well I'm definitely interested in learning more about Southern Africa. And as many of my friends from that region told me, what you see at first glance isn't neccesarily what is actually happening. So I'm starting to believe them.
YambaGirl, you've given me lots of food for thought. So let me ask you something, could you elaborate more on this multinationals?? Are you saying it was in their interest to see Rhodesia overthrown and to have a Mugabe? Do you think that they are still profiting with Mugabe's regime as is, right now??
@YambaGirl Very true - we probably have VERY different viewpoints, but I have always said that you have to take on board new information, and change your World-view to suit. You do not (or rather, SHOULD not) rigidly stick to one point of view regardless of wether it is correct or not. Everyone has thier own opinion but these opinions should be based on fact, hard facts.
@YambaGirl Well I must say the African peoples were employed, were safer, had better education etc. etc. - a higher standard of living than now, decades later.. Rhodesia wanted sensible majority rule - a gradual process; had things remained the same, blacks would be in power by now, but Whites would have an equal standing and the nation would much richer. Just my opinion based on what I know.
majority black rule has been a longterm disaster everywhere it has occured, if you're still around on youtube after these twelve years, i would ask if you have chamged your mind.
