An attempted passage from Tarleton, on the Rufford branch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal, to the Lancaster Canal via the Ribble Link was called off because the rotating segment sea lock on Savick Brook was found to be inoperable. The 4 narrow boats and a wide-beam used the "lay-by" mooring at the lock entrance while the underwater works were cleared to enable the boats to enter.

Fab video. I live at the other end of the Douglas and didn't realise just how wide it becomes at the Ribble end during high tide. I'm also a sailor, and never been into Preston Docks so it ticked a couple of boxes for me. Thanks, i'll look forward to seeing some more of your adventures!
