Goldberg came around at a time when WCW needed a larger than life presence and how Kevin Sullivan utilized him by not allowing him to speak and just having him crush guys was brilliantly done. I had never heard a pop louder than the one in the Georgia Dome when Goldberg beat Hogan. That was insane.

He was super nice to us but I found out shortly that he had turned everyone away that had approached him. Many legends said Goldberg was safe to work with even Ric Flair was speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair was asked whether Goldberg was safe to work with. Flair stated that he still thinks Goldberg is a safe worker despite concussing Bret Hart. “Well, to me he was very safe. I have been kicked in the head by him too.Jan 6, 2022 but only Bret said he wasn't but the truth is he was it was just that on incident kick but what's also the truth, Bret Harts career wasn't ended by Goldberg, Eric Bischoff explained what truly was leading to Harts career ending... It was Bret who took it upon himself when he had a hardcore match and during the match he hit his head pretty hard on the concrete ground and continued to do more matches, not the kick from Goldberg that's not the main cause... Bret Hart could have taken time off but decided to do more matches, first Goldbergs match with the accidental kick was on December 19, 1999 than a match against Chris beniot on Dec 21, 1999 next match against Jerry Flynn on Dec 27, 1999 next a PPV hardcore match - against Terry Funk on Jan 4, 2000 next four more matches against Sid Vicious on Jan 6, 7, 8, 9, 2000 and finally his last match against Kevin Nash on Jan 10, 2000... But puts all the blame on Goldberg? C'mon man, lets be for real here... so it was the hardcore match what was leading to end his career because he kept on getting hurt by continuing to do more matches... The kick was accidental even Ric Flair said so that it's a risk and their are times you will get hurt if the match doesn't go as it's set in the ring and this is a guy who started in 1972 and who knows the business from inside and out of the ring... So who's the real person to blame, sure wasn't Goldberg... Like I'm trying to say is, Bret Hart forgave WCW for the caused of his brothers death, he forgave Vince Mcmahon for forcing Bret to loose the title Against Shawn Michaels when bret never tapped out, he forgave Shawn Michaels for stealing his latter matches when Shawn promise Bret he wasn't going to use his idea but lied and did it anyways, but yet cannot forgive Goldberg!!! I used to like him until he became a lier and wining saying GOLDBERG ended his career when he took it upon himself by continuing to do more matches, that Bret's fault even WCW'S, not Goldbergs otherwise that would have been his final match... according to Ron Simmons Scott Steiner Rick Steiner Booker T Edge Christian Vince Mcmahon Curt Hennig Bobby Heenan Sid Vicious Arn Anderson Diamond Dallas Page ( Kevin Nash on and off with Goldberg ) Lex Luger Sting The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin Brock Lesner Ric Flair John Cena Randy Orton The Undertaker Triple H Shawn Michaels Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff said he is one of the greatest because if he wasn't NONE of these guys would support him and say he is... Even Stone Cold Steve Austin said so on the Broken Skull plus he supported him and was right beside him during the 2003-04 era.. that's why He's in the Hall of Fame... Even the Rock loves Goldberg and it was him who got Goldberg to change his mind to come to the WWE in 2003 to make a new era and for Goldberg to be the main character since the Rock was leaving to continue his acting career and decided to play as a heel and Goldberg as the new WWE hero... The truth also is, If Goldberg was an unsafe and unprofessional wrestler, they would have ended His Wrestling career and no longer be rehired back into the business and or even brought back into the business in the year 2016... The true fans that continue to support Bill know it's B.S. on the lies and negativities on him... Accidents do happened and that many others have their career ended like for example what D.lo Brown did to Droz who got him completely paralyzed for life... And we don't hear from Droz saying, you ended my career and I will hold a grudge against you forever... What's truly sad is, Hart made Goldberg believed that for so many years and still today continuously saying to everyone that he ended his career and cost him millions and Goldberg constantly apologizing for something he didn't even do which was ending Bret Harts career but only an accidental kick to his face... Bret Hart could have taken time off to recover but wanted to continue Wrestling which made it worse... Everyone else said he was safe to work with and never gotten hurt by Goldberg, For example Goldberg asked Jericho personally on Y2J's talked show when he interviewed Goldberg and Goldberg asked, " Chris, did I ever hurt you" and Chris's response was, "no"... Said the person who had a problem with Goldberg in the beginning of their career Here are Goldbergs 35 plus three extra moves that he had done in his Wrestling career... 1. Back body drop. 2. Dragon screw leg whip. 3. Spinning back kick. 4. Diving clothesline. 5. Electric chair drop. 6. Gutwrench suplex. 7. Firemen's carry slam. 8. Clothesline. 9. Sidewalk slam. 10. Full nelson slam. 11. Belly to belly suplex. 12. Corkscrew dropkick. 13. Drop kick. 14. Spinebuster. 15. Belly to belly sideslam. 16. Big boot. 17. Shoulder block. 18. Scoop powerslam. 19. Crossarm breaker. 20. Front scoop powerslam. 21. Snap swinging neck breaker. 22. Kneebar. 23. Leg trapped spinebuster. 24. Avalanche gorilla press lam. 25. Superkick. 26. Gorilla press slam. 27. Gorilla press drop. 28. Gorilla press front scoop powerslam. 29. Headlock/underhook suplex. 30. Powerslam. 31. Pumphandle overhead suplex. 32. Gorilla press spinebuster. 33. Gorilla press power slam. 34. Spear. 35. Jackhammer. Bonus... 1.hip toss. 2. Kneedrop. 3. Judo takedown... Theirs a video on youtube of Goldbergs 35 top Wrestling moves Theirs another video of Goldbergs 48 Wrestling moves but the 35 are his best Oh can't forget the head smash ring bar move...

Even Bobby Heenan said that Goldberg's run should've continued forever. WCW created something truly special that felt authentic when Goldberg had his streak. This was long before Undertaker's WrestleMania streak that caught traction after WM 20. Goldberg could've been champion for 4 to 7 years easily and had a modern reign that lasted as long as Londos, Thesz, Sammartino, Gagne. He was a invincible force like Sammartino and Hogan. Heck Hogan held the title for 4 years straight when he was white hot. These days it's unimaginable for anyone to have a title reign that lasts that long.

The defeat of Goldberg could have heralded in a new direction in wrestling. It should have been something so big and significant that it MADE the guy that beat him... and steered the focus toward the convincing powerful wrestliers like Scott Steiner, Sean Ohaire, Wrath, Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Mike Awesome etc... which focused on hoss fights, and seperated them from all the celebrity big name types of guys that weren't as believable. We see the success that Lesnar has had for so many years... well, that same breed of wrestler could have become the new standard because the fans had become conditioned to the new style of Goldberg, and they wanted power and believability... It's still yet to really be focused on and I think a wrestling company could really break out by going in the direction of featuring only the most badass guys that could really bring back alot of fans and make new ones.

Don't get me wrong, Goldberg was HUGE when he showed up but for myself and others that I know, the whole 30 sec match/ 100-0 undefeated deal was getting very old at the time. It may have been different if he actually had some 20-30 min matches but they were just so predictable and over too quickly. Goldberg absolutely was green his entire wcw run. And hes lucky bret was the only career he ended. The guy was a 3 minute match guy. And to put him in longer matches than he really could handle was playing with fire. And that got bret burned. Could have happened to ddp or nash or hogan really anyone who didn't want to lose in 3 minutes.

Bill Goldberg broke Scott Steiner's orbital bone. He also kicked Bret Hart in the head and concussed him to the point where it ended his career. Everyone talks on how stiff he was in the ring. So that kind of tells you right there he wasn't the safest worker

Scott told him too punch him in the face and to do it for real... Now on Bret Hart it's time for the truth what truly lead to his career ending... First Many legends said Goldberg was safe to work with even Ric Flair was speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair was asked whether Goldberg was safe to work with.

Wrestling is a soap opera type ongoing storyline business. Bill Goldberg had his days, his prime. Reaching back to bring him back time and time again is only good for Goldberg and his bank account. It isn't good for the guys coming up and the business. Goldberg was not that great to keep coming back at his advanced age and fans know also that it is very short term. The story of wrestling again so his kid could see him in the ring was cute but that was so long ago now. Goldberg now is just Goldberg. But he did have a great run at one time, more than most definitely.
