Finally someone compared these three models. THANK YOU. EXCELLENT VIDEO! Very clear speech and very thorough comparison. I'm sold. I will decide which model and probably buy from you guys.
@@ClassicVacuumI saw another video where they say these are made in China at least her Riccar 25D was made there. I thought these were made in the US while the Simplicity was made in China.
Tacony (parent company for Riccar and Simplicity) is an American company, 3rd generation owner Tacony is the last name. Simplicity is the lower cost brand. Still good products for the price, but all made in China currently. The Riccar brand is the higher end products. The R25's are all made in China, they just could not get the features and price points to work in a USA product. R25's are still designed and engineered in Fenton MO. The R10's, R17, R30's, R40's are assembled in St. James MO. I've been to the factory and even got to build some R10's and R30's. Call me at 330-494-7111. I'd be happy to discuss in detail and see which machine would be best for you. ~ Aaron
@@ClassicVacuumsorry that some are made in China. I remember when both products were made in the US but then the Simplicity model became a cheaper brand and not as good. Just wish that all Riccar vacuums were made in the US.
Very good comparison... I had no clue the differences.... One thing I will say.... any upright vacuum like this that has a hose....it's very wise to get one of those vacuum cleaner extension hoses that comes with their own tools.. Talk about being able to clean anywhere and everywhere....as long as you can turn the brushroll off
Yes they do have an extension hose that you can add. Here is a link: classicvac.com/clean-air-7-ft-extension-hose-for-riccar-and-simplicity-25-series-and-20-series-certain-models/
Loved the presentation and was hoping your company would have offered a SELF-PROPELLED model. So very hard to find any vacuums these days with this feature.
The only vacuum made today with self propelled is Kirby. The problems is, the drive train makes the vacuum very heavy. The R25's are not hard to push, stop in at your local dealer and try it for your self!
Thank you for the video idea. They are all great brands and produce great machines! Comparing them might be hard knowing that each machine is for different households with different needs. Will have to see what we can come up with.
very helpful video. My Miele broke after 20 years and I'm looking for a new vacuum. I like the standard but I need an upholstery tool. I'm surprised the S doesn't come with one.
Nice comparison video. Thinking about the standard model, less bells and whistles..heard of PCB problems for the D and P models. My dealer sells all the r25 models, but it doesn't sell R30 or R40 tandem air units cause he got tired of the PCB issues with those models. Taconi and PCB board issues, not good.
It depends. The design is good but the manufacturing partner could be better. There are problems from time to time but they don't affect all machines. All Riccar vacuums have long warranties so should you have a defective PCB it's going to fail in the first year typically.
I recently purchased the R25P.2 and love it. I have a cat, do I need to say more? The dirt sensor is a wonderful thing, it actually works. When I vacuumed my area rug I was amazed on how much imbedded cat hair there was in the rug. My decision was made because the pet vacuum actually did pick up the cat litter (I brought my litter from home) I scattered on the floor/rug in the store. I do wish that someone would do a short video on how to wrap the cord so that it's not a big lump hanging from the vacuum, it does take up a lot of space. Thanks for the video.
Good luck. There are three types of cord wrappers in this world. Neet, unwrapped, and figure eight. Also Miele designed a machine to have the cord wrapped counter clockwise. A large majority here wrap the cord clockwise.
Prices change over time and I did not want to date the video. Check out our website for curring pricing. classicvac.com/riccar-r25-standard-clean-air-upright-vacuum/ classicvac.com/riccar-r25-deluxe-clean-air-upright-vacuum/ classicvac.com/riccar-r25-premium-pet-upright-vacuum/
Great video. I know metal brush roll beats the carpet. Does the standard model wood brush roll does too? Hopefully they stiff too. He’s very handsome too. 😂
One thing that is sad about charcoal bags is that they *can decompose over a period of years and lose their filtration quality. Someone demonstrated this with Kirby bags before, not Riccar bags just to clarify
I would keep them sealed up in the zip lock bag that they come in. Charcoal acts like a sponge and absorbes gasses. If you left the bags open to the air, the capacity of the charcol to absorbe gasses, could be filled up before you install the bag.
No the tools are a different size. You can attach R40 tools to the R25 using this adapter. classicvac.com/tool-adapter-fits-1-25-inch-tools-to-m700-r20-s20-series/
