Riccar Radiance is definitely suitable for commercial usage! The self-propelling is something to adjust to. My (undisclosed) workplace has a Radiance, and some of my colleagues and I call it Larry.
No they're not designed for commercial use. In fact, as a former Riccar dealer, these Radiances would have the warranties voided if used for commercial applications. A commercial grade vacuum like SEBO is more suitable for commercial jobs.
Riccar still assembles these in the USA, however they're having more reliability problems ever since the company got a new CEO. I have a harder time recommending these nowadays. Still excellent performers but they're just honestly not worth the price in my opinion. I could get a Sanitaire or a used Kirby but for WAY less than these Riccars. Or even better is putting in a central vac. Based on the video, looks and sounds like your Miele should get tuned up.
