1•shampoo 2•pour rice water evenly all over hair | then massage hair, especially scalp | leave rice water in for 20 min |(do a face mask while you wait😊) 3•rinse thoroughly 4•condition hair w/ cool water 5•use microfiber towel or t shirt
@@jlomteule9239 almost, after applying rice water to your whole head leave it for 20 minutes with a clip. No towel because it will damage the hair and absorb the nutrients of the water. Then after 20 minutes rinse and wash middle and ends with conditioner. Rinse with cold water on ends and dry roots with hot air, ends with cold
@@kagayaku97 use a silicone free natural shampoo or something like honey, cocoa butter & Vaseline as a substitute on the ends. Honey makes it soft and the second option keeps it intact to prevent split ends
Here's an idea(a helpful one, I hope): Put it in a plastic bottle with either a spray nozzle or something like a squeeze ketchup bottle. This will make it easier to apply and maybe more evenly distributed in your hair
@@LuxyHair , from which 1 cup of rice we made rice water first (before), can we use the same rice to make the rice water again? and if yes how many times
Thanks for your awesome tips and advice on Rice Water Hair treatment.. You said that it can be applied to strengthen the hair.. I am 60+ and my crown is thinning badly.. I have tried other uses of Hair oils but disappointed with results.. Would Rice Water actually help thinning hair to grow? Desperate.. please help.. TQ
@@black-mi2qh My hair stylist told me about this today. She said that you could use the same rice twice. She leaves it in the water overnight for best results.
Hey I tried your method yesterday my hair look so shiny and smooth plus my hair fall has reduced so much This is really very effective thank you so much
Wow! I tried this rice water rinse and my hair grew double the length of 1/2 in. every month. So in 3 months my hair grew 3 inches instead of 1 and 1/2 inches. Just be careful because it can dry out your ends if you use it frequently. I have dry hair so I do it every two to three weeks. And I let it ferment overnight! So far so good! 😐
I'm a black African American. Thank you. I am incorporating this into a every other day routine with my onion oul treatment. I do see amazing results. Thank you again...
@@melanieburch3606 wait you can use onion juice? Does it work best on coily thick hair like for African Americans or can it work on my hair which is thin and wavy?
OMG!!!!! it worked my hair is long again my mom and dad say that they are thankful also I loved the video thanks for sharing your hair routine Bye Luxy Hair
Rice water and onion juice are hair saver.. i am from India. And that's what I do once a week. I use coconut oil mixed with onion juice. Leave it for a night then shampoo and use this rice water method exactly. :D
We r from Manipur n rice water is our traditional hair wash for our hair. 98%of us have straight n black hair.we prepare it by adding some herbal plants. In every home of us we have a special small Pot for daily puting the rice water as we use rice for lunch n dinner as must.
1/2 cup of rice, rinsed Then add 2-3 cups of water Let it sit for 30mins or more Shampoo your hair Rinse Add the rice water to your hair Leave for 20mins Rinse Condition your hair Rinse with cold water Is this correct?
I’ve always seen people recommending rice water so I feel I’ll start doing it and keep updating, btw you’re video is so good, quick and easy to understand and how pretty you are thank you so much
I have questions. 1. Can i store the rice water after using it? 2. Do i have shampoo AND conditioner my hair? 3. Can i use it for my face and body skin? Tqq
Yes store it in the fridge! Yes shampoo first then rice water on for 15-20 mins then rinse it and then apply the conditioner. Yes you can use it on face and skin too.
tip: I have found It to be so much easier to use a squirt bottle. You can pick up empty condiment bottles. at your local grocery store, Walmart, Target et cetera in the kitchen gadget isle.
I don't know if rice water can grow hair .but I use rice water as a scalp cleanser. My scalp is very oily but I can't shampoo my hair every day. So I use rice water. Rice water cleanses my hair nicely but not deeply cleanses like shampoo.
1 c rice 3 c water, soak for 30 minutes, strain add to bottle with or without a sprayer apply to hair thoroughly set for 30 minutes rince I use mine 2-3 times a week.
I have hair that will get protein over load if I don't be careful so I first do deep oil and leave it soak in for 3 days with out b4 I was my hair then get in their and rinse my hair really good and put a good conditioner on ends then wash concentrate on scalp and then let bubble over strains then apple cider rinse for few seconds then rinse off with cold water and let dry just a little then I have my big pot of cinnamon, star anise, clove rice water rinse that i let set for few days and I submerge my scalp and hair in it and just gently massage submerge massage and let set for 5 minutes but I suggest test your own hair after I rinse i put on deep conditioner and sometimes I may submerge my scalp and hair b4 I wash my scalp while all the oil is in coz you're strains won't get so brittle and u can leave it on scalp and hair for a few hours if u apply some conditioner on ends coz it really good for scalp so just play around but I say try only once a month at first for 5 minutes 😊 then show your hair handle it
1/2 cups of uncooked rice, rinse first 2-3 cups of water Let is soak for about 30 mins Or 24-48 hours Strain the rice water into a new and clean bowl , then you can bring the bowl into the shower with you
@@jojo-fj7lw for me personally it works great without conditioner but if you want to find out if it works just use the rice water with conditioner and if your hair is drier than when you don’t use conditioner then you can skip the conditioner.
I have never tried rice water on my hair but I am going to try it next weekend when I wash my hair and I will let you know how it comes out. Do you use warm water when soaking the rice?
Can you put it in a spray bottle and use it in the shower? I use coconut oil for a hair mask. I like to leave it on for 24 to 48 hours and then rinse out. Air dry my hair.
@@cindtv5332 I used it like 2 times for 2 weeks and my hair felt more softer and nice, but I had haitfall problem not sure if it is because I overworked my hair when it was wet or because of the methord but overall it was good💛, I think it varies with hair type.
I wash my hair once a week...how do I incorporate this into my hair routine? Can I use the rice water after I shampoo? Or should I separate the two steps on different days?
I actually heated rice and water for a few minutes and removed just when it started boiling. I let it cool down then strained the water out. I distributed the water on my hair. Wore a shower cap for 20 minutes. The result was even better! My hair is so soft and shiny
@Teresa Whitaker Most people don't recommend leaving it overnight cause it can lead to protein overload and apparently it's not good it can make your hair frizzy and brittle. So maybe wash it off after 2 hours max
Is it okay to not use conditioner after rice water . And after how many try's we will get complete healthy hair . Can we expect change after doing this for 2 weeks . Please answer these questions
@@LuxyHair I mean 1. I mixed the new rice+water, kept it aside. 2. Drained off the water, and the rice is left behind. How can I use this rice later, because after step 2, I’ve seen that the rice starts to stink so I had to discard half a cup of new rice just because I used it to make rice water.
🍚 I ONLY WASH MY HAIR 1X/ WEEKLY...IF I WANT TO USE IT MORE, CAN I JUST USE IT AS A RINSE IN THE SHOWER IN BETWEEN WITHOUT SHAMPOO? ALSO...AM I ABLE TO PUT IT ON DRY HAIR??? PLEASE LMK ASAP! THANX A BUNCH!
One year ago I used it once and my hair was incredibly thick as when it was not damaged. Now one year later an hairdresser ruined my hair. So from now on I’m going to sleep every night with wet ricy hair u till my hair is back again
Hi, I've been using the rice water method for two days and I noticed the tip of my hair are dry even though I use a conditioner. I am not sure what causes it,can you help me out and give me some tips?
@@joselynluvshk Hi. And yeah I used a spray bottle and sprayed it over all of my hair. because my hair is very short for the time being I find it hair to in a way just do the roots.
I've been using rice water for about 2 months and *it hasn't worked* and I used fermented rice water I'm going to try something else maybe Hollywood oil
I have wavy/curly hair and I brush my hair when the conditioner is in my hair so I just want to know if it's healthy to brush my hair in the shower with conditioner on. BTW this is my brothers account i am actually a girl
It depends on your porosity. If you have medium to high porosity you’ll get stronger curls, if low then use rice water less on the strands and focus on the scalp for hair growth ☺️
