You are absolutely correct, Mr. Clancy. They have burned down all of the small businesses owned by new arrivals. Those two areas you mentioned, Linden Hills and Kenwood are the centers of where the power brokers live. Also, the Lake Harriet area.
I was shocked to see how the rioting stopped right before they got to the rich areas along Lake St. From what traveling I have done, the Twin Cities seems to be one of the racist areas in the country, and it's all coming from the left. One of the largest weather gaps between the black and white residents. I am starting my reconocience this spring.
Minnetonka alum. I sat in front of the daughter of the U.S. Bank family.. Pohlads or whatever. Wish I had known then, i would have given her more attention.
I live in East St Paul. St Paul is awful, never come here. The riots have damaged poorer areas mostly. The leadership & politics of Minneapolis have doomed it. It is not safe & I don’t know who would want to invest in it or live there now. Stay to the suburbs.
@@qbfilmroom7202 if business stays we’ll be ok. I think they’ll just move to the suburbs, but with the taxes they pay I’m sure they’re looking at greener pastures.
Can someone inform what is the name of the predominately Black neighborhood in St.Paul ? And what is the main difference between St.Paul and Minneapolis
@@briant7652 Got you Brian, do you know the name of the predominately Black neighborhood of St.Paul? I saw movie Laurel Ave about 30 years ago that was filmed in St. Paul. It had a predominantly black cast. Great movie that depicted a working class area of St.Paul
Born and raised in Minneapolis. This was not an attack on immigrants so much as an attack on the middle class. The wealthy neighborhoods you describe supply the protestors and rioters. Race is used to confuse the issue.
Jamal with his falafel is their class enemy that’s why they burned his shop down. Billioneers and rich government employees with their pensions and Cadillac healthcare plans are their fellow travelers. They will target small biz regardless of race.
I had a business contact tell me the other day that Communism is right wing. Not joking. This 45 year old man runs a restaurant in West Minneapolis. Level 6-7 Orangeman bad NPC
The affluent scare easy and pay their cops well. This will just convince them to have robo soldiers that won't mind mowing down these ppl. Good luck with that.
I think that area got fucked up because of its proximity to the third precinct. The people participating in those initial protests/looting didn’t seem to be all part of a single cohesive movement or ideology. Nobody knew what to do. I think most folks there were angry about the police blatantly murdering someone on camera so they just went to the police station. Things went bad from there and a lot of people took advantage of the situation to destroy private property. Suggesting that these people should have gone to an upper class white neighborhood doesn’t make sense. They were taking issue with unchecked state violence not just white people in general.
Cappy: So What happens Now? We have to by law, avoid people our family our friends , for almost a year now , We are told not to even trust our own Shadow anymore .
If you want to effect change, why not protest people not keeping their license plates updated? What about protesting smoking and selling dope? Or maybe protesting brandishing firearms. How about protesting for jobs? Or you could protest about people not showing up for their court dates. The problem is with the individual. Where is their responsibility in all of this?
