I saw Richard Armitage years ago in North & South and thought that he is a real talented and unique actor and that he should be much more known and appreciated, now that time has come and it looks like he is keeping it real and down to earth, good man and great actor.
Best part of the interview was Richard being surprised that he topped Tom in this poll...as I love both actors I thought that was a really sweet moment.

How utterly adorable he is, I loved him in "Robin" but have not seen a full interview before. I had no idea how urbane and relaxed he is. Looking forward to the Hobbit part 3 in the autumn/winter.

I wouldn't be so in love with him if he wasn't so funloving. He's so impossibly stately and commanding by his presence alone while being hilariously crazy and enthusiastic with everything. I wanna spend hours talking to him about the Hobbit and then give him a huge hug (which would be extremely funny since I'm about half his height). You're terrible Richard. Terrible. I hate you. Why are you such a perfect human being? It's not fair at all. (Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah)
I have a friend who works for a company called Candid Casting and Richard Armitage is the front runner to take over as James Bond after Daniel Craig in 2018. Craig has two more Bond films to make (back to back released 2016 and 2017) but so far as I know he is top of the list to date, but that may change depending on scheduling over the next 3 years.
Jay Smith We've been telling Richard that since we met him...he should play Bond! That would make his fandom go through the roof, but more importantly, as a producer, I believe he'd be a classic James Bond. Lets hope it happens. Thanks for the intel.

I feel in love with guy when I was around 7 or 8, I genuinely thought he was the best character in Robin Hood! I used to play Robin Hood at break time in primary school and I would always demand to be Guy, my mum found it a little odd that an 8 year old girl wanted to be a moody, leather clad man who was generally seen as a bit bad! I when Robin Hood finished I didn't see Richard for a long time, spooks and mi-5 being a little out of my age range, but when I was 5 I read the hobbit and it has been my favourite book now for 11 years! So when I found out that Richard was playing Thorin, a character who I'd continuously weep over, I was sooo excited! I also have just seen North and South, which was amazing! And the crucible is one of my favourite plays and the production that Richard was in was the best live performance I have ever seen. And to top it all off he is a lovely, funny man, who happens to be very attractive!
Omg so did I, my primary school friends used to be confused why I fancied guy. And now I'm 15 and recently watched the hobbit I've fallen in love with him again, and literally watched every single thing with him in.

UGH I love this man. He's the perfect combination of geek, nerd, sex and adorable-ness. He's hilarious. He gives me faith in the male species on a whole. And seriously, I'd cash in my life savings and sell my first born child to get him in a wet shirt. I'm not proud of it but just sayin...
I tried reading the book...the first one I guess..and I respect anyone who can get through it once let alone many times..not that it's not good, it is, just a lot to remember...I love books and I'm getting a master's degree..maybe its because I have no time for myself right now lol but I bought The Hobbit, but I'm still working on the second movie...I had to watch the first movie two or three times to understand it lol Much respect to others who it comes easily. Richard always seems so down to earth and humble...acting is his job not his power trip. Lovely person. :) If I only watched movies with Richard and Gerard Butler from now on...I'd never miss Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise..overrated. lol

Don't know why people think he's out of character here, before The Hobbit we all knew him as sweet, funny and blokey? Nice to see the the weight of that part lifted, now can he do a comedy?
FABULOUS! But if a subsequent interview doesn't include RA participating in a wet t-shirt contest - even if he's the ONLY contestant - I will feel badly used. And teased. And fatally disappointed.
I still disagree with Richard Armitage for a lot of things, but those are just my thoughts. I'm not an easy person, but a really hard one. His fans don't have to be against him for it. I'm not pushy to turn people away from him. Though one thing I admit being wrong about him is misjudging him for the height he's been saying he is. I actually didn't know he was about 6'2 1/2, but an exact 6'2. No wonder why he says he's 6'3 cause he's not exactly 6'3 but he is around that height. And it probably wouldn't make a lot of sense going all the way back with 6'2 if he's halfway to 6'3. I read a long time ago that he was 6'2. Most of it's written like he's about exactly 6'2, and some sources are accurate. But obviously, the internet can be incorrect especially inaccurate about people's heights also. He's not the only one with a height not at an exact inch. The internet can say someone's about a certain height taller because they're halfway in the middle between two different inches. But yet, the internet insists to say Richard Armitage is still only 6'2, even though he's in the middle of 6'2 and 6'3. That just makes it so confusing for many people who don't know him! It's simply unfair!! I realize I was wrong about that and I was really mean and cruel about him of that for nothing. I usually am aware the internet can be inaccurate about many things and also claims some false lies as true, but for some ridiculous reason of mine, I failed this time and fell into the internet's trap. I was blind-minded this time! Now I'm thinking most sources of the internet are the ones that deserves the blame, even from me if I could help it!
