The background work Richard does on his characters is what makes his performances so memorable. Living in the US, and not being much of a TV watcher, The Hobbit films were the first time I had seen his acting. His portrayal of Thorin Oakenshield blew me away. I went searching for other programs he played in and found- first- North and South. At that point I was hooked. For me it was/is the thrill of watching as Richard brings storybook characters to life. He builds so complete a 'person' they come alive living in my mind. In all the parts I've watched him play not once did I feel I was watching an actor perform a role. It was never Richard on the screen. It was Oakenshield, Thornton, Porter, North, Standring, Gisborne, and many more. For me- That is Acting; That is worth watching, And no matter what- I am always delighted, and satisfied when the ending credits come along. There is no greater compliment I can give an actor. Bravo Richard, Bravo~
I just couldn't agree more. :) The words actually seem mine (with the only exception that it was North and South I first saw him in). He is an absolutely brilliant actor.
Richard has got to be the sweetest and most gorgeous guy around. Not only does he give intelligent and detailed answers to questions put to him, but can patiently and even laughingly respond to the old circus topic. I could almost hear the collective groans from his admirers around the world when she asked it. I was able to forgive her, however, because of the lovely way she asked it. It was adorable to see that those endlessly long legs of his had to be almost bent double!! :)
The interviewing lady is badass she knows the stuff she's asking about. I really like when interviews have some fibre and meat in it so to say. You go girl!
Actually I looove all these Mr Armitage's interviews, especially the radio/audio ones (for example for Strike Back, Spooks and so on), it's always a huge pleasure to hear him speaking, he's a great story-teller, but ladies, I mean, what a face!! what a beautiful nose!! Sarah Jane Crawford's a pretty lucky lady. ENVY!! She've had a chance to chat with RA. :)))
Every fangirl searching for Richard's video content but end up watching mostly interviews because he has the most indescridable voice which every woman wanted. Such an intelligent and gentle. If Richard could only see and hug us fangirls, I'll be greatful. I love him so much. Been spending a week watching his videos and I'm regretting why I didn't know him during The Hobbits days. Ughh. I hate it. Anyway i'm so young to realize his God Face and voice.
was just about to say that, she was relaxd and playful and asked some interesting questions, I've been dying to know about the joining a circus part of Richard's life.
+Graziela Almeida I bitch about being 5'2", I climb on counters like a flipping toddler to get in the high cupboard, but damn, you forget the extreme of being tall ... Poor guy ... in a chair where my feet would be dangling, dude is wearing his knees as earrings if he didn't sit just right ...
Oops sorry I wanted 2 say can they actually look each other in the eye? There's some box hanging in the air and all these laptops in front of them, it doesn't look very cosy doesn't it? They just as well could have talked on the phone but I hear U say now we can see RA aswell! Hey wasn't he in NY? Is this recorded today?
