I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this to Jimmy Carr's face but it's true! Seen on Was it Something I Said? S01E01 All rights reserved to Channel 4 and co.
I'm surprised they don't appear together more, they went to university together and are good friends. I have heard that Richard has a really tight contract with channel 4 and they won't let him appear on BBC shows, so that could be a large part of it.
I love how you could see the gears in jimmys head turning trying find a witty come back. He has come backs for looking like a puppet, a vampire, a lego man. Roger federer was one he was not expecting
He came to Christchurch, New Zealand a few years ago, and this is a real kiwis only joke, but one of the audience texted in saying he looks exactly like the Four Square man. He was standing there clueless for what felt like 5 minutes while literally everyone but him got the joke and lost it laughing. I can't remember exactly but I think someone in the front row showed him a picture and he just chuckled a bit and agreed.
He probably just wasn’t expecting him of all people to say something like that or for it to be said at such a random moment. He probably has loads of comebacks but he was just caught of guard by the circumstances
Frizzlecrank Who said anything about what it provides? Stop trying to be a smart ass. The tax system is broken, every accountant in the country worth their salt has proven than time and again. The loop holes have been there for generations, its only in times of economic downturn that anybody gives a shit.
After watching a lot of 8 out of 10 cats, it feels weird seeing Jimmy Carr teaming up with Richard Ayoade, instead of Jimmy Carr being the host while Richard playing with him from afar.
And yet, even when they're supposed to be working together, Richard is only there to make Jimmy suffer. It's beautiful. I hope to one day have a nemesis like that.
Awwwwn 🥰, thanks so much heavenly and adorable 💖 creature 🌹, thanks for all your mind blowing.......... comments and your sincerity towards me 😎 words can't explain how happy I am with this your write up, it gladdens my heart 💓. Where are you watching from?
@@MrBaronCabron He's saying that he only reacts to things that are happening in a negative way, still hilarious but ultimately a one trick pony. Its not an unfair comment to make tbh.
Between about 1:00 and 1:10 I really thought we were on the precipice of the first bi-racial homosexual french kiss on British television. It didn't happen tho.
Who cares if Jimmy looks like Roger Federer, the fun part here he avoid the confrontation of Jimmy being right and him being wrong simply by stating Jimmy looks like Federe.. and it totally works :D
I used to love Jimmy's stand up but I drew away from it a bit in the last few years. However, he's the best host and one of the best participants in shows like this. I love seeing him in this stuff more than his stand up.
Actually you can see Jimmy Carr breaking into a laugh on the shot where it shows both of them (after Ayoade says "Why am I playing tennis?"). You can't really see it on this video cos poor quality. In real life they'll have taken a moment to let Carr compose himself and look unamused again, and edited it to look seamless.
I've just been listening to a creepy video of Tarantino defending Roman Polanski's drugging and raping of a 13-year-old girl, on the Howard Stern radio show. Everyone should hear this shit. The clip's on here.

Jimmy Carr's facial expression: I can't believe you just used my joke from my shows. In case many of you haven't seen it, Carr on many occasions has started his show saying "I know what you're thinking, A Downsyndrome Roger Federer?" For those of you who think Richard Ayoade 'owned' him. No, just no. And that's coming from a guy who's more fond of Richard than Jim.
It's great because of "all I'm thinking is 'why am I playin tennis'" rly. Not just the Deseret thing. And perhaps Jimmy did mention the resemblance between him and federer but Richard's timing and just the absurdity of the moment makes this great.
