Does Richard ever worry that his heart will fill with so much pride that it might do damage? Izzy is everything a parent could hope for. I'm hoping to see her on a car show doing what Richard has done for us all these years.
Drivetribe is such a great companion/epilogue series for TG/GT fans. 😊 It's basically the "...and they lived happily ever after" part, except we get to experience it. I love it, and I also love how it showcases the mentoring of next-generation "car show" people like Mike and Lucy and the guys at The Smallest Cog. ❤️
@@mileslaw and the same for James and his pub, doing pieces with guys like Jimmy Broadbent and other visitors. It's like they all made their money, and now have the chance to indulge their hobbies - we're all very lucky as fans.
I love how Richard really lets her talk and get through her answers. So many podcasts, shows, etc. people constantly interrupt each other. This was refreshing.
I never saw it live, I first saw it a few years ago, on repeat when it came out on RU-vid; it was a lovely way of showing the trio as normal guys with mums that loved them.
If Izzy is interested in Admin. Put her in charge of the Smallest Cog admin duties+ parts ordering. That way she gets to learn more about both admin and all the different cars being worked on. With the parts ordering she will learn which parts go to which car and their function, and eventually she will learn how all the parts come together to make the accelerator pedal works.
As a Father of 3 daughters and having lived on the coast of the estrogen ocean, they have taught me how to be a far better person than i could ever have on my own. Being a parent is more about adapting and learning more so than having an answer for everything.
Izzy's and her dad are having a wonderful relationship! I love those kind of father-daughter discussions... she's looking at her dad for comfort and life experience tips, and he's looking at his daughter to protect her, to give her all the tools she needs to find her own path and the make sure she's been fine most of her life! Their love for each other is clearly palpable... they're soooo cute to look at! Thank you VERY much for this moment! PS.: I feel Izzy has all the tools and the charisma needed to work in the media industry! She so charismatic, very smart and quick-witted, and she shines through on each her camera presence... she would do a terrific job! No matter what she'll choose do with her life, I feel she'll be able to accomplish anything! Let's go GURL!!
When the grand tour ended the tent/studio setup, and Richard had his family there, I never thought his daughter would be in front of a camera, talking about cars. Love the next generation of hamsters.
Richard, you are a very fortunate man! Relish the time you get to spend with your daughters. Izzy, you are quite wonderful. It is always a pleasure to see you in front of the camera. I hope your sister is not jealous. Would be a treat to have the whole family do a road trip video. Not just this drive little around a loop.
Congratulations Richard, you raised a wonderful young lady. Her positive attitude is infectious and will clearly bring much joy to this world. Keep up the great work, don't crash.
Please don't stop making content, I like this, it has so much of the Topgear vibe in there: Sense of reality, vulnarebility, funny, openness. You two can really do something with this...
The pair of you are becoming a great team of entertainment. I am impressed with Richards concentration of driving while listening and Izzy's relaxed posture while being driven with enthusiasm. Every new video just seems to get better.
Wow, hearing Izzy say about when Top Gear started when she was one and she's 23 now really hit home as to just how much that show has been with us...wow, I'm old 🤣
Izzy really shines on Camera. And with the trio calling it quits id be okay with a Grand Tour season where James, Jeremy and Richard takes on Mike, Izzy and Kaleb and teaches them how to do the job before leaving the show to them. They get to chill in studio for a season and react to the madness while the kids are the ones suffering
I really like when Izzy is part of the videos. She’s fantastic! My daughter is 17 and my son is 20. I love having real conversations with them, so this video hits me in the squishy spot.
I love how she starts to say she couldn't do a 9-5 desk job, and then continues to say she loves to do administration work. Which is the very definition of a 9-5 desk job :D
I really like what Izzy said about getting a car. People get what they can afford and not the one they want to express themselves with ... paraphrasing.
Coming from a family that never talked to each other (unless shouting counts as talking), this is mind-boggling to me - parents and kids who actually like each other and can talk with each other. Beautiful.
I love the content between Izzy and Richard - its genuinely wholesome, and as a dad myself, I hope I can have the same relationship as my kid when they're older.
How interesting to see other cultures where you are not constantly hammered to be "something" as soon as High school ends... Lovely to see how Hammond is very supportive of her growing and finding her own way at her own pace..
Thank you. I really enjoyed that. An insight into your home life. Fabulous daughter you have. Treasure these moments. My dad died 6 years ago and it’s surprising what little moments you remember
Izzy sounds like she has what's called a "task-oriented" way of working, so something like planning or producing is well suited for her. Lots of ways to be in the creative field with that.
Said it before, I'd love if Richard done a book about his life, not an autobiography but his take of his life. Like the his stories he would tell about with his mates or when he was growing up. Things that taught him life lessons, all that jazz. Something up beat and cheerful. I love watching these videos but my favourites is just him mucking around. That one video where he done a tour of his house, loved it
I really enjoyed this Q&A that Richard and Izzy shared - they really seem to get along great don't they?. When they said about possibly having more Videos like this, I could very easily watch more!. Izzy's really like Her Dad, I hope that She stays in this area as I think She'd be a wonderful Auto Presenter.
Sitting planning a very unique new Alfa build. Wondering if it's a little too much and ambitious. Izzy laugh is just so genuine and infectious, go for it
What a great video. No idea how much is edited of course. But what a smart lady she is. So grown up and smart in her answers. If I had a daughter like that I would be sooo proud. But hey, I've got a son who's almost 15. Soccer, ps5 and The grand tour is what we talk about😀
This is so endearing to see dad and daughter. The question about her growing up while her dad was doing top gear was interesting. I woulda figured she point out, since was on the road a lot, would be reason why didnt get to do as much "family things", forgetting the other downside of being famous. Like I wonder how many times he was on the road for something like a birthday, or graduation?
izzy was spot on when she was talking about people cars expressing a persons personality and most people not being able to afford the car they want and have to settle for something just to get them from a to b.
4:44 i quite like Izzy's take. The generic car is just a mode of transport, but 'your' car is some thing very personal. At least that's what I took from what she said.
