Inspired by America's beloved Ford Cad Pickup, this versatile vehicle delivers a comparable driving experience at a notably more competitive price point.

I recently got one out of a field - it had been sat there for 4 years and started straight up after some tinkering. Currently under a full restoration and the design is fantastic as far as I am concerned.

@@garthqueen Well I just had my 14 year old l200 stuck in a ditch stuck differntial on and it breezed out, had it since march done 7,000 miles and only had to refill the coolant! Heard the engine got better after 2004

@@MrRorySteel mine is from 98 2.5l 4x4 diesel, my dad bought it new and now it has almost 350k km only major problems we had was a coolant line going to the turbo broke, one of the timing belt also broke, changed valve cover gasket since it was leaking a bit of oil, and when changing the Thermostat we also changed the water pump, change oil every 10000km with 15w40 natural oil off good quality we normally use oil meant for tractors since its better quality, my parents wanted to sell the truck to buy a car for me and I refused, going to upgrade the suspension and major wear pieces to start doing some off-road trips to the dunes close to the beach, it's a daily driver all of its life and will continue to be for a while until I buy cheap car to go work and have the truck just for weekends

Cool looking truck, hopefully one day I can find one in America. Everyone wants a Hilux but I’m too much of a hipster for even that

Please someone if you can tell me if there is any know problems with the engine for this model 1999-2001 2500 diesel i am thinking to buy one i am from Greece ,vehicle will have about 190000-220000 km. Thanks

@almaefogo 3 года назад
The only problem that I know is people you push the cars to the max on this trucks, like going more than 120km/h for a lot off time can heat the head of the engine and warp it, besides that only change the valve cover gasket and its fine, mine has almost 350k km and no problems so far only minor stuff like coolant line going to turbo broke 1 time had to change thermostat, we always use natural oil 15w40 every 10000k km
@georgetech380

@@almaefogo thanks I know yes they pushing to the max like is to race car and is only a pick up truck , Regards George

it varies, when i was a baby my dad had a 2002 model with a 3.2L turbo diesel but he’s a fast driver so he used a lot of diesel but it should run alright if you’re a moderate driver.

@@StuartOliver83 mine is a 2.5l 4x4 diesel and if you don't drive like the fast and furious and go to a max of 80 to 90km/h I can get around 10L/100km = 23mpg US but if you drive a bit faster or tend to drive a it more aggressive it can go to15L/100km = 15mpg US Compared to Toyota or Nissan patrol it consumes a lot less in a patrol you cant do less than 12L/100km
