After the infestation of flies that plagued the first two podcasts of the series, Richard has been gifted a tennis racquet shaped fly exterminator to try and deal with the issue. There aren't many flies around, but a game member of the audience agrees to be zapped. May she rest in peace. Richard is still a bit sore from running a half-Marathon (sponsor him here) in the record breaking time of under 2 hrs 38 minutes, but has a guest who has run 100 metres in just over 12 seconds, Miranda Hart.
The pair last appeared together in the short film, A Very British Cult, in which Richard was the STAR, so let's just remember that and none of the stuff that's happened subsequently. They also chat about the different comedy they have created from falling into graves, being mistaken for the wrong gender, laughing at inappropriate times and Miranda's trial for QPR. There's a further exciting evolution for the ham hand/suncream armpit question (which leaves ham and armpits behind) and a treat for fans of the opening credits of some of the series of Not Going Out (that's just Richard then).

Good stuff this interview. So refreshing to see Miranda Hart as herself instead of playing a "character" in her normal quick interviews. Also Hyperdrive is a way underrated comedy IMHO.

£33,146 / 1156 = £28.67 per person. That's amazing considering Mr Herring gives the material away free. Shows how much people want the show to continue.

Richard discussing Miranda's genealogy was aptly strange. I'm her distant cousin since we share an 18th-century earl for a common ancestor. When I first found out Miranda branched off of dukes and earls, I tore her family tree apart for a connection.

Hyperdrive was brilliant. I still binge the entire 2 series' of it about twice a year from my DVD collection. What's not to like about a comedy with Miranda Hart, Nick Frost and Kevin Eldon all in major parts. + a fantastic couple of appearances from Monserrat Lombard?

Errm... A name for the tennis racquet - The Umpire Strikes Bugs? Does that work? It's the best I can do, anyway.

There's a RU-vidr called Rob Dyke, and he changed his name because he reckoned RU-vid was demonetising his videos because his last name is a rude word.

The Splat Bat?🏸 57:17 - "Mum, did I choke on anything when I was little?" "Er... yes, dear. When you were a baby. Talcum powder." And if anyone was wondering, the 'Welsh schoolboy' who comes up with Richard's silly questions is Chris Evans (yes, THAT Chris Evans, the Big Breakfast bloke off the telly, who's also this programme's director). Allegedly.

I did a RU-vid search by typing in "how to swallow herring" and the results were interesting (including one clip actually of Richard) but was unable to locate his fine acting role...

Re male and female gaits. There is a few seconds of genius in All of Me where the Steve Martin character is inhabited by the soul of a woman, and the character walks on one side as a woman and the other as a man. See if it if you can.

Fellate Keith Allen? Yikes. I had to look him up, but he is who I thought -- the actor who played a most awful, terrible villain in Martin Chuzzlewit. Again yikes.

@@aprilapril2 - Yep. Some people just can't cope with people being people, can they.🙄 Let Richard express himself however he wants, I say. As for those precious dears like Rocstoneau (let me guess: devout and 'born again'?) upset by foul language, I suggest they *uck off [🦆lame-duck waterfowl pun alert] back to Stepford, lose themselves in their Good Book of fairy stories, and let grown-ups be grown-ups.

How is it foul language? It's a nonsense word that doesn't mean anything. If you think it's a crude word, then that's just your filthy mind at work.
