FX’s new original series The Bear is about food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of Sense of Urgency and the steep slippery downsides. As the young chef Carmy fights to transform both The Original Beef of Chicagoland and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.

"Every second counts."

Richie's transformation after he starts to get it is so amazing to watch. I really thought the writers would have had him be an antagonist for the show but instead he stepped up and became one of my favorite characters. Great writing, great acting, and a great show!
@Departedreflections
She asked for 1 minute then answered his question. so professional.
@boricualink
I learned in the marines that yelling at people only goes so far. People need to be properly motivated and given a sense of purpose in order to thrive. Thats what richie finally has.
@TheGamefan1000
This episode made me cry, man. We finally got to see Richie thrive, and in doing so we understood where all of his anger came from previously.
@fredmand
I love that everyone's so good at what they do, no one is an unnecessary jerk to Richie. They want the new guy to succeed because he is part of the crew.
@jloo6822
I like how everyone at the place shrugged off his brash nature in such an elegant environment because they appreciated his eagerness to learn above it all

This episode did what I thought was impossible: it made me like Richie. Even more importantly, it made me understand the point of his character. Flawless writing. Flawless.
@radium05
Richie's character development is a joy to watch. From "all of you will leave me behind" to "I got this."
@TihetrisWeathersby
I was proud of Richie this episode, He really learned patience
@kas7145
This was probably my favorite episode of the whole show and it was so well done. I got choked up when he asks to take the pizza to the table and is so excited about it.
@jiffylou98
For someone who's worked in the service industry this scene is like porn. Perfect communication, teamwork, coordination and emotional intelligence is an underappreciated artform, and this show absolutely nailed it.
@andredarin8966
Thiss is one of the most uplifting episodes I've seen on any series during the past 50 years. It brilliantly shows what happens when people see something untapped in us and we "get it". Richie is the patron saint of those who feel left out, insignificant, talentless, alone, and rejected but who finds himself when just one person believes in him.
@ArtemisScribe
I'm nowhere near on this lady's level but my job is kind of like hers and it's difficult to explain to people because compared to most other careers my work revolves mostly around very frivolous things but "Every night I get to make somebody's day" is exactly why I adore my job too.
@johanna2804
they better get an emmy for this episode it’s amazing
@alexthrailkill
I totally understood and related to Richie’s frustration after like two episodes. I’m not his age, but I constantly feel like I’m not where I should be, like my friends hate me, like I have no direction or purpose… This whole episode was so cathartic. It’s never too late to find your place.
@wilkamania
I got laid off the day before season 2 went live. I was going through all the feels and feeling low and like I didn't belong anywhere. After emotions settled for the week, ended up binging the bear. This episode really turned it around for me. I loved his transformation and it really hit me in the feels. Glad to say that I was able to be employed after a month and it came with a surprise raise.
@dylanhoggard5723
This is seriously one of the best episodes out of both seasons. His character has genuinely surprised me.
@RubenHernandez-by2vx
This was my favorite episode of the season because it shows real growth and how Richie finally found his purpose. Marcus, Sydney, and Carmie found their goals/dreams long ago and have been pursuing them ever since. On the other hand, Richie has never amounted to anything because he never truly knew what he wanted to do. I love the change from apathy and disdain for the tasks he's given to respect and admiration for what is needed to provide excellent service.
@redbeard36
Richie was the MVP this season. An incredible performance by Ebon Moss-Bachrach!
