​@@broKen73484 Maybe you have a very different sense of humor and this show isn't for you. The IT Crowd is considered a cult classic comedy series, and I find it absolutely hillarious! In this clip, we see an exaggerated goth character pretending he's afraid of the sun; Richmond's lack of social awareness that he would go to a funeral dressed as a grim reaper and even recommending a death metal coffin related song to a grieving elderly woman; Reynholm's ridiculous behaviour and whims; Moss's obsessive behaviour search for his cup against the backdrop of a sea of similar cups; and of course the ominous looking green door.

It was a live audience, which had become unusual and considered risky at the time. But yes, I absolutely agree. Laugh tracks kill comedy.

@@alanhindle3149 Why "risky"? I don't get why this is risky I actually don't mind it at all. Even Mr Bean had it. To me, it's more of just a identity, and it's own unique thing.

@@hariranormal5584 Risky in the sense that if, for whatever reason, an audience that night didn’t find it funny (it happens, sometimes instead of laughs a “cold room” gives only awkward silence. Or worse, strained laughter. Which affects the actors performance, which can ruin a show. It’s why most comedys in the 70s and 80s simply adopted a laugh track rather than take the chance.

Yeah sorry fam. I just mean the laughing, "track" was added in there from habbit. The background laughing drives me insane. I got to watch a live televised performance back in the 90's when I was like 8. There was a light up series of words that light up when they want the audience to laugh/aww/gasp/boo. Corny as hell x'D

well at least the show is genuinely funny...nowadays sitcoms mostly awful & laugh track make it sound cringe & obviously fake 😂

You're right - good eye! Looks like they were standing on the second 'ledge' of one of the smaller Thomas More Square buildings facing southwest towards the Osprey Court apartment complex.

The reason it took me only five minutes to find that location is that I knew the location of the outdoor building used for outdoor shots of Renholm Industries, which is a few dozen meters away. It's a habit of mine to freeze any outdoor scene from any show and spend up to an hour trying to find it. It's amazing how sometimes the smallest clues, like a church in the background, or the style of street signs, can quickly get you close, even if you don't know what country the scene was filmed in.

The clothing becomes too much of a hassle, normally.

@@tric5122 I just love how excited the girls get when they respond, "Like in ads?" and jump up from their desks. And then the sheer disappointment when they see the man. Then they just stand there with the look in their faces. The man is like, "The hell are they looking at ME like that?". Then I imagine the two girls confused about the type of men Jen likes.

His full backstory is that he was a straightlaced corporate suit, then he accidentally listened to death metal and slowly transitioned to being goth, without ever acknowledging it. Culminating in the funeral, which led to his banishment to the server closet. He's kept locked in there because he made everyone depressed.
