The rick is not stupid, if you realize it is a rick that knows how to do many things, and is very aware of who he is and where he is standing in the world. It's not dumb. What "silly Rick" does is that he is the rick who has feelings, and to other Ricks that makes him a fool. Great Review.

Funfact and Comic Spoiler: As it turns out the Multiverse of Doofus Rick is actually a complete Mirror version of Our Rick's Universe. Doofus Jerry is actually a Psychopathic Dictator who took over his Version of Earth. He actually follows our Rick after the events of this episodes and Beats Rick and Morty multiple times. Fans, me included are that he, or another Version of him will become a recurring Villain in Future seasons alongside Evil Morty and Rick Prime.

This is where things get WAY more profound and introspective into Rick's past. Notice he said that he would NEVER do that to a Morty? Ummm ... he WOULD and HAS. Remember in the images that were extracted from his brain? One image was not only of him electrocuting a Morty, but of him PICKING UP A BABY MORTY. This further proves that the Morty he's traveling with is NOT his original Morty, given that he was missing from the family's lives for over fifteen years. Also, don't forget that every word that the Evil Rick was saying was actually being dictated by evil Morty? "Ricks don't care about Mortys"? Those are MORTY'S words and thoughts. It's a huge fan theory across the net that evil Morty is Rick's ORIGINAL Morty on whom he performed experiments to make him just as intelligent as he is.
