Stand up comedian, Rick Glassman, hands the host (Jon Dore) the wrong intro during his Just For Laughs HBO taping. JFL Comedy Festival - Montreal, Quebec, Canada - 2014
If Rick moved to the UK he'd be one of the biggest comics over here. His humour is so British. I'd love to see him have someone like Stewart Lee on his podcast
The fact that Rick appears to have random pieces of paper folded in random pockets and seems to be just as confused about their origins as we are- I literally laughed harder at that little nuanced bit harder than all of it. He has this absolutely brilliant ability to inject these tiny nuanced bits into his performances that some how kill via seemingly insignificant actions! I love how something is able to be absolutely hysterical to some, but to people not yet keen to his games might be totally over looked. What a special guy.
I can't believe I'm late to the game on Rick. I guess I've been seeing his face around but recently watched his bill burr interview on his podcast and now can't get enough of him
I really can't wait for Rick to drop a special. Or some sort of half-stand-up, half-sketch show thing. His podcast is great but this stuff is super entertaining
@@michaelhauser6440 well we can't all be hugely successful comedians like you. Why don't you tell us one of your hilarious bits to make up for the poor comedy we watched?
I watched this for the first time when I started watching your podcasts a few months back. and it seemed confusing and all over the place. Second time around I get the humor and your style. Keep up the good work on the pod my man. It’s hard to say a comedian is different then other comedians or stands out, because they are all very different then most people. But even among them you stand out. Think I’m gonna smoke up and watch your new uncle and dad podcast that came out recently, loved the last one.
This has to be the 10th time I've watched this. I know you are busy man, but it would be great if you made a playlist of YOUR favorite podcasts. Please
@@rickglassman You watch almost as much podcasts as me man,i don't know when do you find the time ! Love TYSO, love your stuff keep it up and show everyone that you are so worth it,because i think that you absolutely are. Also,i am a better ball player than you :) Oh you want to put money on it ? Keep it bro,and treat a tall girl to a tall boy, if you know what i mean :) Honestly though, you are great and i hope you only go up from here ! Much love
I wish I could hang this on my wall. Stay who you are. To work within the parameters of Povitsky's analogy, I would say that, Rick Glassman is a McDonalds that serves up a nutritional salad that looks and tastes like french fries.
@terranniet it's a play on an old joke someone (don't know who) told on some late night show (don't know which one) where the person said something like "I flew here this morning... and boy are my arms tired" and then that joke got repeated and referenced at nauseum.

@Ben R. Go check out redbars newest video on their website at around 17 mins in (if i remember correctly) you see that he had his fans order a lot of caps from Rick for himself and when Rick realized that all these caps are going to the same address he cancelled the order, refunded them and then sent 2 plain black buckethats in 2 different packages
Rick said it was actually kinda tough getting them to go along with this because they didn't want to make it seem like they were giving him more of an intro from the emcee than the other comics. They all had very basic intros, so he had to convince them it was part of his time for his act, rather than a "special" intro. Good thing the emcee was willing to participate. Rick is an absolute genius. I implore you to film a special, Rick. Please.
Awesome. If he put more time in and worked on his material, he’d realize that stupid shit doesn’t work and it wasn’t funny. He got a light chuckle out of two minutes of time wasting.
A one-take sitcom episode, the likes of which FRIENDS and SEINFELD would regard in reverence, if this was actually a sitcom. Ron Sherman is a comic whose alter ego, Rick Glassman, plays the sea of heads with impeccable timing and a sagacious over-standing of the impact of combining funny lines of words with bodily movements.
