I'm kinda bummed over who sent you this instead of the original recording of this song. Sounds like the person who made the video screwed with the song. Teena's vocals on some parts are unnecessarily reapplied over and over again. The original is not like that and Rick's built up intro monologue is also missing from this. Not the best version of one of the best songs ever made for a first time listening experience. Still enjoyed the reaction from you both ❤ Keep it up! Fool On The Street is my favorite Rick song. Cool reaction guys! Teena marie is an absolute goldmine. There are a few other duets with Rick and "Lady Tee" if youre interested. "Happy" is from early 80s and "The Once and Future Dream" from 88'. I think my personal faves from Teena are "It must be magic" and "Starchild". Each of her albums has a different vibe too it - but all have an element of soul to them. :)
