St John's beats Hofstra (who is w/out their starting center) by 5-pts. That is not impressive. Yes, Jenkins played his best game but he still forced shots and forced passes AND, he still cannot guard anyone. I hope I am wrong but I think Posh is going to spank him on Tuesday (though, he is also known/famous for forcing shots and passes). I don't think u guys are drinking the kool-aid regarding Pitino---I think u are breathing it! Pitino was badly outcoached ONCE AGAIN! I would need an abacus to count how many mistakes he made in this game so I will list only a few: he calls a timeout with 47-secs left in the 1st half when his team has the ball and it would appear each team would have 1-more possession each. WHAT on EARTH was so important for Pitino to espouse that couldn't wait 47-secs? That was insanity on steroids and gets him an F in clock mgmt for the game. Second, HOW many times do we have to watch Soriano guard a 6-2 guy at midcourt only to beaten with a wide open layup. Are u guys watching the same game as me? Pitino FINALLY took out Soriano in a defense-for-offense move but he waited until there was 1:17 left in the game. WHAT the HELL is Pitino watching? Lastly, once again, Pitino's substitution pattern is hideous. I feel like I am watching a 1st year coach trying to find a feel for the game. I like that Pitino is FINALLY getting Dingle and Alleyne more outside shots. I also like that he is FINALLY getting Conway serious mins but each of these guys needs to take more shots than Jenkins! Soriano has taken 14-shots in the last 2-gms combined while Jenkins had 16-TODAY! That is truly mindboggling. P.itino has no more excuses. In my opinion, whatever goes wrong for St John's going forward is squarely on him. He does NOT look like a Hall of Fame coach to me---not by a longshot. Keep up the good work
