ugh it’s just so heartbreaking that their friendship fell apart the way it did. and their on screen chemistry was incredible, they made the other better actors and characters.
@@InvestedGman It was Andrea’s fault for not having enough sex with him. It was everyone’s fault for not caring enough about him. Cmon man we all know it was Lori’s fault to an extent but it was MOSTLY Shane’s fault
Shane would have been a big help to the group especially during seasons 5 and 6. Imagine him and Rick at Alexandria and Shane’s reaction to the people not knowing how to protect themselves? He’d be a awesome trainer for them, or even help Abraham and Daryl. Man I wish he was still alive. There needs to be a what if series of twd.
I reckon negan would've killed him along with Abraham instead of Glenn, although if he was still alive maybe they never would've ended up in that situation in the first place
@@kellogscornflakes2430My theory is that he killed Abraham because he was the toughest looking out of everyone in the group, including Shane if he was still at the lineup. Then he killed Glenn due to him being the nicest looking person in that group. If Shane was alive I don't think he would've gotten killed by Negan in the lineup
In the first scene (Where Shane and Rick are in the car eating fast food stuff) Shane dips his french fries into Rick's ketchup, showing how close they are.
"Should have listened to you Shane, would have saved us a lot of grief" Shane was always right about everything and its a dame shame Shane was killed off but that couldn't be helped because he was actually killed in the first issue in the comics unless they wanted to change the story and keep him alive, as I think Shane and Rick would have been a unstoppable duo. and their love for each other.
@@vistaxx For me it’s hard to tell. He was smart and pragmatic knowing what to do to keep himself and others safe but he was also going crazy from losing Lori and being power hungry.
Clownboy 03 Agreed ! They both had there reasons for doing it. I feel like Lori turned them against each other 😕 quite sad but I loved their scenes together
@@JeromeTalksGaming same Lori got in the way of their friendship, with her basically lying about her being pergent with Shane's baby, she told Rick that he thinks it's his baby and Judith really is Shane's child, but Rick knows better, so I guess we can all forget about because Michonne is a better mother than Lori, p.s. long live Jerome
i wish Shane stayed normal like in season 1. Shane would then also be one of the most popular characters like Rick or Daryl. although Shane has played in so few episodes, many people still talk about him and his acting skills, the man is simply the best. We love you Jon aka Shane Walsh...
@@lynxregions6724 yeah it's unfortunate and I'd love it if there was some alternate timeline spin off show but it had to happen exactly how it did or there would be no story and no development for rick
Well he saw alot of bad he adapted fast because he saw it in the hospital trying to save rick. So Shane did what he had too he wanted to save everyone no risks but he fell for Lori and to be honest Lori did mess with his head and Rick's but it's how you look at it and how long it was from rick being gone and Shane did love rick. He got his family out he took care of Lori and Carl to keep Rick's memory alive.
The cherry on top is no matter how hard Shane tried, he couldn't kill Rick. He was far ahead of everyone else apocalypse wise, he was like Rick from later seasons. He thought he wanted Lori and Carl bad enough to kill Rick but in that moment, where he could have had it all... He hesitated. I always thought it was stupid that Rick decided to kill him, he lowered his gun and was going to chill out from my perspective lol maybe that could have been the turning point.
Would have been amazing. Instead of stabbing Shane in the chest he just goes in for a hug. Would have loved to see a slightly calmer less insane Shane being a right hand man for Rick with Daryl.
But that's the thing, it was like a race of who's gonna bring himself to kill his bestfriend first. And even though Shane is the crazy and ruthless one who preaches about survival of the fittest, the seemingly obvious one you'd bet on, t's Rick who actually couldn't take it anymore and went in for the kill. And that there was a complete turning point for Rick, he went like 10 steps into the apocalypse mindset just in a few seconds.
@@bouncin2207 All it took was him realizing Shane was trying to kill him, his mind was made in that moment. Kill or be killed. There was no other way at that point, because if he didn't kill Shane and he did back down, Rick would never be able to trust him fully again.
Actually Jon Bernthal had an idea for the script that his gun could have been unloaded when Rick stabbed him... The writers dropped this idea but it is a good one.
I always did see it that way too. Shane thought that he had it in him to kill Rick, but when push came to shove he just couldn’t do it. Little did he know that Rick was the one who actually did have it in him to kill his best friend if it meant protecting the group. And same as you I think that if Rick had let it slide and they both returned, Shane would have finally taken a good look in the mirror and become a good person for it. But I guess Rick wasn’t gonna take that chance.
He had to die but it doesn't make his death any less heartbreaking. They were brother's and even now Shane influence is still there with how Rick has become ruthless over the years.
When there are so many changes between TWD comics and the show in terms of new characters and characters who have died, why couldn’t they just let Shane and Rick’s friendship grow rather than diminish. Would have loved to have them together as brothers in arms all these years
Shane was ahead of everyone but when push comes to shove, he couldn't kill Rick and at that moment, Rick turned out to be a better leader. Ready to make a sacrifice for the greater good.
@@stephengrant4841 he shaved his hair after killing otis because otis grabbed his hair and pulled it out when they were wrestling, the group would have seen that and pieced it together
@@Martirosyan22 not true rewatch the show, he looks at his hair in the mirror and sees the patch, then theres a flashback of otis pulling his hair out so he shaves it
Envy destroys relationships and ruins your sense of worth. It cost shane the only brother he had. Probably the most tragic relationship in the show tbh.
I think looking bad the writers would’ve kept him longer. I’m not sure they knew how much of an impact his character made. Shane was my favorite character because in many ways he was right. Rick would get them killed indirectly
Yee but they were following the comic at the time. Its easy looking back at it now. Knowing actors quit and stuff but shane died the same way he died in the comic. I would have loved for shane to stay till now. Him vs negan would have been epic.
Come on guys. We all know by now that if Shane did not die we will not have the rest of The walking Dead. He was too much of an unstoppable machine, now if you pair this with season 5 Rick what do you get?
@@vistaxx, which is also true. Rick's different from Shane though. Shane was ruthless, even in hand-to-hand combat, he would have stood a better chance and pummeled the governor. If he was in the meet-up and had his way, the governor wouldn't even make it out alive.
Okay wait a minute. What scenes were those? When Shane was saying thank you and Carl was hugging him and then where were they when they were talking about Fort Benning? I don't remember those scenes at all
What was she supposed to do? Shane convinced her Rick was dead and she needed Shane to protect her and Carl. Then Rick comes back. I think she should’ve just told Rick immediately and had Rick and Shane try to work it out earlier, but Shane would still try to kill Rick after finding out Lori’s pregnant and thinking Rick’s too weak. There’s nothing Lori could do other than maybe take those abortion pills to kill Judith.
she told rick shane was dangerous and he wouldn’t stop which led to the idea of killing shane then when rick does it she gets mad at him like a bitch and she tells shane to go away then when he actually TRIES to stay away she comes back all heart felt trying to make amends she did it over and over SHE was the one who put rick and shane at odds it was HER fault
@@dillonhodges140 I dont think he was happy to see him . That same night , when Rick was telling his story , waking up in the hospital and everything , he started showing it with Carol's husband . The next day he beat the crap out of him . He was acting like its Rick's fault that he is alive and wanted to reunite with his wife and kid . Ok , he thought Rick was dead , but now that he's back , step off . He had a thing for Lori before the apocalypse. In flashback , when he tells Lori Rick's been shot , it is so obvious . When Andrea said " Shane loved Rick " , Carol replied " Shane loved Lori . In season three .
