Watching this is like traveling back in time... I was lucky enough to dance on bandstand and experience this moment in time! Sittingin the audience screaming my head off at the amazing artists who whereon the show!
It wouldn’t get ratings on television now. People watch music on RU-vid mostly and it’s not as financially viable now to promote music on television in this kind of way. It doesn’t help that Milli Vanilli essentially made lip-syncing essentially an “inauthentic” way to promote music on television.
I love his songs!!!! Jessie's Girl is my favorite!!! He does bring back great memories... He is so fine and cute!!!! 🔥🔥🔥.... He is still touring, with Richard Marx, they sound so good still!!!! ❤️❤️❤️... 🌹🌹🌹.....
Rick Springfield's hair looked awesome when he feathered it like this years ago! He is three years away from turning seventy years old now, but he still has lots of charisma and is incredibly talented! ~Dutch
JEFF HARDIN but back then I didn't think sexual. To me he was the most beautiful male face and so kind. YES, I was that dumb. Most teenier think husband material...all MY friends will envy us with our twins in a buggy (I know all the pain in labor I had no clue to..it was just a perfect life), I don't know if times have changed, but it was never sexual at the age of 12. Today, I wouldn't change a thing; he is still my perfect, dream I don't want it spoiled by reality. Sorry Jeff no all of us think from the crotch.
My sister accidentally hit him in the rear end at the airport. She said he was so gracious about it. She had her toddler with her so I'm pretty sure he knew it was accidental. My kids are 22 months apart and I've done a lot of dumb stuff over the years just trying to wrangle them lol.
Back when no one paid attention to see if they were really playing these instruments or lip synching. They were indeed lip synching and pretending to play. People even cheered when he did that guitar solo part. People just had very little awareness back then. I guess a kind of innocence.
Not sure that Rick thought he was being Elvis. Remember Rick wrote his own music. Plus played the guitar as part of a band. Elvis didn't really do that.
