This poker scene was what first got me watching CURB after watching this RU-vid vid of Gervais interviewing LD. I have watched all 7 series and have just watched episode 1 of series 8 - love it! best comedy show ever!!!!
Oh, I get it. Like from the show. You referenced what everybody is here for and watching. You typed what the people on the screen were saying. You're a part of it. Kudos. Kudos to you.
Two of the greatest TV writers of all time...Seinfeild changed the structure of sitcom comedey and The Office and Extras changed the way of incorporating drama into comedey and makin it into a serial masterpeice.
Thanks poster. It's an epic day when you find something worthwhile on youtube ;P As for the rest of you... sheesh! What's with all the 'tude? Incidentally, ripping on the American office is fashionable and all, but it grew into a really excellent show, funny for different reasons than the British one.
America loves Ricky Gervais. Our favorite Imp! Larry David's humor style has shaped America's best sense of laughter. Wish he had always been in the foreground instead of his ideas leached off by networks. He and Ricky....?? Just roll it and magis will happen. Larry Charles and Larry David = magic heroes of comedy
You know what I like about this? That Ricky's experience of American stand-ups at the moment is exactly the same as Stewart Lee's. I've been wondering if Lee was just exaggerating for his bit (I don't get much chance to see any circuit stand-ups from the US myself), so nice to have that cleared up for me. :)
We can't get this show in the US so I have to watch it on youtube. but at least I found out about Extras. I love, love love, that show and Ricky Gervais.
This is great, I will never forget the first time I scene the restaurant scene, and then the 20 times I rewound it there after, might of been of the funniest things to watch ever, period!
Curb your enthusiasm is the funniest American show I've seen, not your average generic bullshit but very cleverly written, timing the dryness is spot on !
i admire both of them for what they have created, but i see the office, seinfeld/curb your enthusiasm, and arrested development as three groundbreaking and different types of comedy. each of their creators have a different brand of humor and are downright hilarious- by far the shows i have enjoyed the most, but i don't think you can straight-up compare them.
I love Ricky and Larry... Ricky is so loveable, because he has this amazing duality. Having one very sharp sarcastic side, and one very soft and kind of insecure...
