Ricky Ross - Raintown (The Quay Sessions, 13th Nov 2017) 

I left Buchanan bus station Glasgow, 11pm July 1990 London bound at 16 years old. A packet of Golden Wonder ready salted and a 2ltr bottle of Irn Bru to my name for an adventure of a lifetime. Playing loud on my Sony Walkman in my ears as the bus pulled away and waving good by to my sister, was Rain Town Deacon Blue. It was dark an pouring with rain. A fitting song to a very promising time in my life. 2022 and I'm back firmly in Scotland and still listening to Rain Town. Have I refused to move on in time?........never! If the songs ain't broken then don't fix them. Thank you Deacon Blue for my memories.

I saw Ricky perform this several years ago at a small venue in Pocklington (Yorkshire) . One of the greatest performances I have ever seen in my life.

I still love this song even after so many years and Ricky's piano and vocal version is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this.
