Being unable to understand all the functions of a modern camera by reading its manual, you are a great help! Thank you for taking the time to produce these essential videos; you are a great teacher!
I've had the GRII for several years now and your videos are a huge help in me being able to understand my camera better, even though it's not the most recent GR. I have a hard time understanding the written word of manuals, and always do better when things are explained in videos with hands-on examples. And the thing is, now that I've watched some of your series on the GRIII, I can better understand the written words in the manual. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, it is priceless!
I really second that, you’ve been very helpful. I’m watching the whole series now and it helps a lot. And I am not new in the photography and have a decent understanding of zone focusing and all. But still even for me your videos are very useful let alone for newbies. Thank you very much for your effort and your time!
in yesterday's video (#14) I covered Snap Focus Priority. In that mode, it works as you describe: Shutter button snaps, but you can still point-focus-shoot on the touch screen.
Snap Distance Priority is Ricoh trying to introduce a new semi automatic mode like Aperture Priority. It’s for when you’re using snap focus and it will try to help you get better shots. Snap focus is a method of focusing the camera at fixed distances. It can be used in any shooting mode.
